thats my thoughts excactly. but its hard to argue with a exhaust bloke abouts exhausts, if you know what i mean..

does anyone know if a 3inch thaipan exhaust is too big for a 2010 bt50?? its got the snorkel, 31's, steel bullbar, alloy tray apparently once the exhaust goes on we can turn the Steinbauer chip right up any help would be great. personally i would have said 2.5inch but the bloke at the exhaust place ...

mate done his gq, the chassis has different engine mounts but if have have a look and suss out
you options id say it would be well worth your while.. resale will be up a fair bit aswell

i did the same thing to mine, flipped the front mounts and welded them back on and welded a peice of rhs along the rear chassis to suit hight, throw some bolts in and bobs ya aunty.

sorry to side track ya post but went for a squirt in a 6speed ls2 today, jesus there got some balls, compared to the 5litre and the 5.7, eats them for breaky with toast and a cuppa. go the ls2 if you can afford one.

getn mine engineered soon, said hes fine with 4inch lift, but said has to be standard tires. i thort that was not to bad, seeing as i wont be runnin the 35 all the time, just when playing on wkends

nope, early GQs have different engine mounts, up untill 92 i think has two bolt engine mounts and after that was four bolt engine mounts, the trouble with this is the mounting bracket onto the block is also different between the two.. i found this out the hard way. its all just bolt on stuff but you ...

lookin to put 5inches under the gq coil ute wonderin if its best to buy a complete kit off flea bay or go about picking up seperate bits and pieces here and there. ive got around $2,500 to spend which isnt a hell off alot but seen tough dog 5inch kits for around that.. id like it to flex fairly well ...

thanks mate was just wondering, there pretty huge hey, me and me mate did the diff oils awhile back, hes got a gq wagon, and from memory mine took like 9 litres i think and his was like 4-5. thort it was pretty funny at the time

anyone know what the diff ratio is for my gq.. i gota a leafy ute with the masive rear diff on it, its alot bigger than a gq wagon or even coil gq or gu rear diff. like a bloody truck diff.
it sits on about 2600 at 100kmph. and really good low range

id be after a gq 4.2 diesel myself, cheap,simple,never die, not bad fuel economy (me mates one is doin bout 700hundred to the tank..non-turbo) throw the dogs and the kids in the back, down the beach easy with the lsd and throw the boat in the back,most important your not guna loose a small furtune ...
