gme uhf scan selection

Hey all, Just wondering... I've got a TX3200 and in the manual it states that OPEN or GROUP scan is a 'dealer selectable' option. Mine is currently set to open but I would like to change this to group. Do I really need to go to a dealer or am I able to change this myself. Also I realise that the ...

hilux/4runner rims

Can somebody please tell me whether rims of a live axle hilux will fit a IFS 4Runner?

I want to look around at second hand rims but need to know whether to look at hilux rims in general or only ones of an IFS truck.

Cheers

prado barrier into 4runner?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone might know whether a prado cargo barrier might fit into a 4 runner. Have been searching high a low for second hand barrier without much luck. Have found a few for prados but am not sure if they would fit or not.

Any thoughts?

air comp on its side?

Hi all

Sorry if this has been covered before but couldn't find anything with search.

I have a Big Red air compressor which I intend mounting in the engine bay.

What I want to know is can compressors be mounted on their side or will this kill them?

Cheers

guy at the brissie show told me that rather than air pressure to acuate the locker like the ARB, the TJM uses vacumn to actuate. According to him therefore the diff is not pressurised cutting the possibility of blowing seals out. :?

Just what he told me when i asked about it :?

60 series rear disc conversion?

Can any body offer advice on suitable options for converting my 60's standard rear drums to discs? Preferably using standard toyota parts without as little custom machining work required as pos. Will 80 series discs bolt up without to much fuss or are there other options? Thanks in advance Shane
