Hi all, I bought a 1995 Toyota Surf SSX-3.0 LTR Turbo Diesel (1KZ-TE) with an auto. (Import) It runs really well. I have a vibration that shakes the car when at idle in drive. When in neutral its fine. If I raise the revs a bit its gone. The idle is about 750 rpm. What could it be? Any help much ...

To be honest not that worried about economy. But wear and tear on front end including tyres!!

I have an 80 FT 4WD and was thinking of going P/T. Been told I can save fuel, wear on the tyres and front diff etc. (Mines an auto too)

So after reading this thread, its a waste of time or not fellas??

Master switch was the problem. Burnt badly inside causing fuse to blow. Now to find a master switch on THE CHEAP!!!! Yeah right..

Hi all, can you tell me where the fuse is for electric windows and central locking on a FJ80
GXL 1992? 80 Series. Checked fuse box drivers side under right leg and left front under bonnet!

No, axle spline count is different. I don't think they came with a 4.1 ratio either but i could be wrong.

I found another diff (front) 4:1.1 ratio for 80 Series. High pinion. What about splines? They all the same. My rig is very standard.

80 series has high pinion so steering arm clears underneath So does late HZJ75... As far as i'm aware they'll fit. They'll be 4.1:1 ratio, not sure what ratio your 80 would currently have. I'd suggest it's 4.1:1 too. I know mine is a LSD. Where can I find the ratio? So do you reckon I would be safe ...

WILL THIS FIT MY 80 SERIES

I have a chance to replace my diff centers. Will the following fit my 02/1992 80 Series Landcruiser FJ80 Full Time 4WD? Auto 4.0 ltr Petrol.

They are from a 1996, HZJ75, manual transmission, part-time 4WD, Troop Carrier.

Will they fit my 80 series???????

Well boys, bit the bullet and bought the 3FE auto. Drove it back from Newcastle yesterday in the flooding rain. She drove like a dream through all the rain etc. Sat on 120 km/h no sweat. the rig is original as. 4.0 ltr EFI. I was amazed at its speed and smoothness. No rust. Few small dents here and ...

it will have the old 3f injected motor in it, you should drive one with the newer 1fz motor in it before you buy Yeah I have driven them (1FZ) 4.5 Ltr and the diesels too.
