Just finished putting the head back on and everything was sorted, but then as soon as I put it in gear the engine started to splutter and shudder! The head was machined and tested for cracks all was fine. The radiator was tested for carbon monoxide and there was none. All the timing is right but I'm ...

its a 93 lwb, not sure if i want to put any money into it as i have none (uni student). I will jump onto ebay, would it be that hard to swap everything like you said, valves etc...?

I over heated the engine and was blowing smoke. So I took it to the local mechanic and he told me it wasn't worth getting it rebuilt, and told me to buy 'seal up' and use that as a fix.
