Re: Weekender diff and spring mods

Have a look at gwyn lewis or the terrafirma copy for a rear spring guide/hook. http://www.gwynlewis4x4.co.uk/page68.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; He actually raises the shock mounts so you can get the travel of around a 4in lift with ONLY a 2 in lift and better centre of ...

Re: Engine swaps

Go and have a look on AULRO. Also look up tombie and what he can do for a td5 , intercooler, ecu flash, egr block etc and they can get close to 200kw  from a 2.5 diesel. As has been mentioned axles are not as strong so look to ashcroft, hytuff, great basin or lucky8 to improve for big tyres ...

An external /part internal roll cage. This allows enough room in the 4x4 for the driver/ passengers and still gives ...

Re: Why are Land Rovers So Expensive?

Defenders have the much more comfortable( RR classic) suspension set up with coils but can carry 1 ton so unlike a cruiser or patrol(580-650kg payloads) you can fit your accesories and load it up for a trip without being over the weight limit or having to put up with hilux etc leaf suspension on a ...

Re: Disco 2 TD5 vs Defender TD5

I have a 02 def, 110 td5 and would recomend it. You can fit 255/85 r16 (33.4in) without cutting the sides, and it might only touch the top of the rear spring mount at full articulation with dislocation set up suspension. If your towing try and get one like mine or earlier with thesalisbury reardif ...

Go to AULRO and post this Q as you will be flooded with advice, from fitting a 3.9 isuzu diesel to a tdi, td5 to a 6.5L v8 turbo Diesel chev  , then if you want to stick with the petrol option and you have even more choice depending on the $$ YOU want to spend. There is a company called marks ...
