Re: triangulated 4 link question

does a trianulated 4 link need a panhard??
4 link with a panhard will just bind. 4 link does not move through the same lateral arc that a panhard does and they fight each other.

a750f and hf2a, some numbers

Have searched all over the place and can't find an answer.

Looking for some dimensions (especially overall length) of the gearbox and transfer case in the title.

Also, anyone know the torque and HP these things are good for?

Thanks for any help.

Road legal Tube buggy  ....... Thats right! It will eventually have just enough bodywork to be road legal, but done with style. Have got some really good looking initial design sketches. One of the only good things about living in Blairs Britain is the fact that, as long as it's built well ...

Here's a pic of the work so far. Sitting on the older straight axles, above ride height by quite a few inches and with the wrong transmission. Apart from that it's right! http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j242/timbentley/12072006109.jpg For reference the tyres are 35". Will be going a bit bigger ...

MD do sell into Europe. I think these may be the first set of Marks coming to Europe (or the second). Bear in mind these will be under a buggy weighing about 1500kg and in the UK we don't really do big horsepower :finger: I am sure they will be plenty strong and lighter than Mogs. I am just waiting ...

GU portals in a 4 link tube buggy

Hope you don't mind, put this in Nissan board but thought it might get missed by buggy folk. Sorry about the newbie question. I am mid way through building a tube buggy here in the UK but have had a very recent change of plan. Instead of JacMac uprated LR axles on triangulated 4 links front and rear ...

Disco tray back

Just a few pics of a Disco tray back we are putting together. Panels are GRP with an inner layer of woven carbon / kevlar for strength and to reduce the risk of penetration if (when!) it gets rolled. There are welded in steel pieces internally to restore the integrity of the bodyshell. On 35" ET2's ...

Double UJ / Carden / Near CV does not give you any greater angles as the centre tends to be quite restricting. ONly need them if you have the right angles (ie diff nose ponting straight at the transfer box output). If the output and pinion are parallel then a wide angle UJ prop will give you more ...

Ruff Just to get this straight. Do Haultech use the LR box with double ended rams? When you say it is heavier, do you mean heavier than steering under normal conditions (i.e 30psi, flat ground, level vehicle) but that it remains the same even when the vehicle is in a hole, all the weight on one ...

If you have lots of travel on the front the shock binds in the spring seat as you can't get a straight line from top to bottom mount through the spring seat. You get a bending force on the shock. I had to move my shock to this position. It also makes changing springs and shocks a lot lot easier. Tim
