SAS kit for vitara

Does any one know of a solid axle swap kit for a 92 to 97 model vit. that is made in Aust. The trail tough kit out of U.S. looks like a good unit, but of course is for LH drive. I am looking for some thing similar in RHD.

Re: holden motor transplant

Thanks for the input. As it happens, I am doing a SAS as well but have decided to stick with the Zook motor. I think all the hassel with a swap is not worth it. I aleady have a 92 vit SWB 8 valve and it has just about enough power. The new truck is a long wheel base which is to have a short wheel ...

I used 63mm S/S pipe and tig welded it together. The air box connection is of silicon intercooler hose from super cheap, it fits on ok. I have a connection on to the air box, then a short piece of pipe then another silicone connector. This leaves some movement when the engine is moving around while ...

alternator upgrade

I am in the process of doing the falcon alternator into a 92 vitara swb upgrade. I am using the 110 amp transplant. Everything is going OK so far, and I am now up to the wiring part. I have noticed some info says to cut off the zook connection for the main wire (the nutted one) and run a new larger ...

Thanks for the info thats coming in. I am planning to cut down a 4door Vit and turn it into a flat deck. I thought seeing as I am going to that trouble, I might as well go a bit further and put in the SAS conversion. I already have a modified '92 2 door, but it still has the IFS in it. I won"t be ...

The reason I am asking about 2wd as opposed to 4wd is because trail tough say 79-85 front diff and 86-95 rear diff. They could be from different trucks. If the hi lux diffs are suitable from this model range, then they will be the ones to look for?

toyota diffs in vitara

Has any one done the toyota live axle conversion using the trail tough conversion kit into a vitara? They mention using the diffs from toyota utes and mention the year range but they don't say what model. The model range would most likely not match up with the names down here anyway. Does any one ...

Gidday mate. I have a 92 2dr vitara. The first thing I did from std. was a 50mm body lift and then 31inch muds. I had to do a little cutting and adjusting on guards etc to get a good fit. Then I added a 40mm old man emu suspension lift. these mods have made a lot of difference and it is a pretty ...

vitara front seats.

I have a '92 2 door Vitara. I am finding the seats a bit small and uncomfortable. does any one know of seats from another make and model that will fit in without too much modding. The local pick a part has plenty of seats to choose from at reasonable cost. Any help would be appreciated.

Just to clarify the wiring on the relay, by a jump, do you mean that 30 and 85 are connected with the power coming in on terminal 30? Could a switch also be wired into the power 30 circuit?

wiring spots

I want to wire my spot lights on a '92 2dr vitara so they will only go on when on high beam. I was looking at taking the relay activation wire off the wires where they enter the rear of the head lamp bulb. These wires appear to be live when the head lamps are off. I guess this means they are ...
