I have sprint gas VPI on my 100 series. Its an 2000mdl GXL will all options (incl sunroof) so it would be pretty heavy.

285 cooper st's, 2 inch lift, dual batts, winch, free flow exaust etc and it will get about 400km to 85ltrs on the freeway and about 360km around town. Its an auto which hurts it ...

Re: 100 Series Mirrors + fuel economy

My 2000 mdl 100 series has the vanity mirrors with lights and cup holders front and back etc etc. I have had a couple of 1FZ engines,

Service and tune helps economy,

Extractors and exhaust more power, hardly and difference to economy.

Gas is the way to go. Halves running costs.

There should be ...

Yeh as a few guys mentioned the ford motor is the go.They are virtually free as no one wants them. They are a straight 6 and im guessing they would be not to hard to fit and they have more power and torque than the commo v6.Plus they are very reliable.

Id get the latest one I could afford and fit it ...

I have a 3 inch lift and 16 inch rims at 15mm offset and run 315 radial claws. They only just just touch under full flex.I have some flares on it as the tires stick out 50mm from the body.Im very happy with the ride and height is tops for every day use.

Ive had them as work cars. They went better than I thought and kept up with the traffic

Why is the wagon cheaper than the troopy? Dosent make sense.2700 for factory lockers is good. The 4 door would make an excellent 4wd with factory lockers some good suspension and tires

?

I wonder if the couple of people on here saying 80's are weak have ever had one? Or are they just jawing off about what they hear.Theres a reason 2.8 and 3.0 patrols are cheap to buy and 80s expecially the last turbo diesels are still expensive.

I had them in the front and rear of a suzuki I had.I liked them only felt the rear lock up on the road if I turned full lock into a car park etc.All it did was click nothing bad.As stated the front made steering hard if it was locked and your trying to turn on rocks etc.

Ive had 3 rigs with airlockers and had no maintanance

Had 1 Lokka destroyed my diff when it locked up the the main rd

Detroits are the poo.Quieter than a locker and I think work smoother.Id have them again.

If on a budget Id use detroits or at least a richmond lock right and import them

Cast your mind back to the 88 Nats. Green XD with 88nats plates running and injected 351 that pulled 11000rpm and made huge HP

Pitty the track was shite and he hit the bunting as soon as he started his burnout

308holden or 307chev would be the largest capacity I would go.
