Re: Will this turbo suit TB45
Hi guys, I am about to rebuild my tb45 and will be adding a turbo to it. The motor will be pretty much stock but with tb42 rods and bigger injectors, i have been offered a gt35 turbo by a friend for $400 ( it is almost new and has only done a few thousand kms) The problem i have is that i am not ...

Had a look at their web site could not find any ring and pinion sets for a patrol. Or was I looking in the wrong place ? Dunno. I actually wrote the guy directly, since I got the info through our Club's forum. Carl Montoya <carl@justdifferentials.com> Probably since it is a fairly new item ...

Re: Nissan GQ Patrol Ratios
Funny how things change from place to place. Up here a TD42 with stock ratios is seen as slow and lacking torque, so we tend to emmediately move up to 4.625; then again, this is a country that a 45 min drive is cinsidered as long  As far as the initial question, I would stay with standard r&p ...

Re: Nissan GQ Patrol Ratios
I had 4.11 r&p (manual trani) with 33" and the vehicle ran great on and off road, then I went up to 4.625 r&p and the vehicle ran even better off road, allthought it was a little fast still. Now, keep into account that I wanted better off roading, not caring how much on road I'd sacrifice. If you ...

Cool! We dont even show VIN's that start with that coding. For japanese made vehicles we only show VIN's starting with JN#.
Gonna chk if we got (in the past) vehicles from Kyushyu Plant at all...
If you haven't made any mods, both your front and rear should be 4.625.

Pretty sure superior where saying even with Cals CV's once you fit their hub. The CV or axle will still be the weak link. It will just take longer to smash It always is, my friend, it always is... Re: Nissan GQ Patrol Ratios
I thought the only real difference between the two boxs was that the GU box was built slightly stronger but ratios where the same. Gear ratios vary between engines and auto and a manual (even if it is the same engine and chasi). Transfer are the same for all (GU, GQ, TB, TD, etc.). R&P are ...

By loosening up your shifting do you mean the way the clutch takes up and transfers power to the wheels? Sorry to sound dumb... Also with the 13% shouldn't that be 6-7%. Re: Max Tire Size Patrol GU(y61)
Just so that we look at things in perspective. The Nissan manual hubs housing, and what takes most of the beating, is made of a very soft aluminum. That's why they break when something like an ARB and a bigger tire are used. Simply not made for that... As far as the infamous weak link, I assure you ...

There's a guy up in Russia with 42" boggers and a set of Cal's on a GQ. I run 38.5" boggers on Cals and could easily go to 42", just not interested.
On standard I wouldn't go past 37". I did for a while without an issue

Re: Gu gearing options h260
TB45 manual came with the H260, auto came with the H233; one with the 4.11 r&p and the other with 3.9, respectively And BTW, the H260 is a 260mm dia and the H233 a 233mm, they are easy to tell apart. Just look at your front diff, if it is the same size as your rear, then your rear is a H233; again ...

I don't want to open a can of worms but I'd prefer a front mount full of mud than a top mount, you might as well call a top mount an interheater rather than intercooler. How often do you find yourself in the situation in that picture? I find I vary rarely need much power in the bush(only mud really ...

Not that complicated, just add a set of Boggers 15/38.5 16LT, ARB, 3.74 transfer and 4.625 diffs to a TB45 and hard ass terrain and anything can give. Th Nissan manuals are good with small tires or without the ARB on a bigger tire, if you add these two, they will give. I no longer have that problem ...

That is correct, I got the short side (one that broke) before they went out of stock and waited for the long side untill a week ago (darker color).
Does anyone make axles out of 4340 unstead of 4140 (Cals)?
I know snakeracing has CV's out of 4340, but no axle
