I have scored a factory 2nd thermo off a GU series 1 4.5petrol to put on my GU II TD42 - hoping to cure the a/c turning off when warm problem - anyone have a wiring diag that shows how this fan is normally installed? The 2nd fan only has 2wires - I'm guessing +ve and return - but keen to see how ...

BJ has/had a similar setup using the 60series box. I have done the same(copied), based the mounting point on getting the arm in a postion that would enable the two steering rods to be as || as possible without the box fouling the radiator etc. Can't tell U how good or bad it is as my lot is still ...

Can you buy an alternate speedo drive gear, i went from 265-16s to 285-16s on my GU change the speedo drive cog and speedo is now within 2kph of the GPS - cost $60.. :idea:

I have a set of the middle version - brass body with nylon (plastic) pistons that I use for my daily driver. The new version has a finger grip to "turn them on" when you are within a couple of PSI of target. I like them - I have had comments that they seem too fiddly to set up .. I set them to 26PSI ...

I run 285/75/16's on my GU (have both BFG MT's and AT's) fit fine with 2" lift althogh signs of rubbing inner guards when fully articulated.. primarily one side - so maybe adjustable panhards would be a good idea with 3" of lift.

thanks red, will give the fluid coupling a touch up. was planning to flow test the radiator just to make sure. I read somewhere a mob in Syd is doing a higer flow water pump , might try and track them down and have a chat as well. mine does the old - turn the AC off trick - last weekend comming back ...
