Re: 35 inch tyres and prices

If your trying to sell tyres, go to the Selling section! Im suprised they have let you go this far with the Bighorns that are no comparison. Was never trying to sell directly, I was just responding to the initial question and post in the thread. And if I'm in a position to extend a general offer to...

Re: 35 inch tyres and prices

bfg no longer e mark their tyres sold in america so that other markets can distinguish them in the case of warranty and balance issues and deny any chance of a warranty claim . That's pretty much the same with most tyre companies - anything imported outside of the manufacturers own imports generall...

Re: CAN'T GET KM2

BF Goodrich/Michelin Australia only get a certain amount of units per financial/calender year (can't remember which one it is). I have it from a very good source that it will be like this until the next financial year due to BFG Australia using up nearly all of their quota for the year, most of them...

Re: TRV SNORKELS

Hate to hijack the thread but didn't think this justified starting a brand new topic for.

Anyone out there (Melb pref) with a template to fit a Safari Snorkel part # SS75HF? Picked mine up second hand (looks brand new) but no template. Google came up with sweet FA and the Safari website is the same.

3F Carby Choices

Gday all, Coming very close to putting my rebuilt 3F back into my middy, and want to look at a few options for carbys. The car is a manual, on duel fuel and will be used as a bit of a daily and a weekend toy, will be running 33's once it gets registered. I want to hear from people with similar set u...

Re: FJ73 Rear Leaf Bushes

Cheer guys,

Spoke to Kirk from 4wd1 and he's organising me another set of the smaller bushes for the rear and helping me get them today. Can't complain about that, I suppose. Although at 11pm last night there was a fair bit of complaining going on..... Haha

FJ73 Rear Leaf Bushes

So I was aiming to put my 2" lift kit into the 73 last night. Got over the the boys house where it is stored, fired up the barbie and had a few brews. Due to space limitations, we were planning to do one side at a time - 1 front and one rear. Got the front knocked over without any dramas but wh...

Thanks Brentz, but after having a really good look over mine on the hoist yesterday I've decided to pull the engine and throw another one in. Cheers Hulsty! Now, 2 more questiosn for everyone: From a very superficial look at where the bell housing bolts up to the engine, it would appear I have to pu...

Pulling the head off for testing is fine, but as I said originally I think the previous owner was driving around with a blown gasket for ages, probably without knowing. Judging from the condition of the oil when I drained it, I'd say it's been neglected for quite a while. I reckon that with the oil ...

The later model 3F sounds like a good idea, minimum fuss which is what I'm after. Anyone know what upgrades the 3F got in the 80? Does it run the same carby/manifolds etc?

3F Change-Over/Replacement

Righto, I've reached a fairly crucial point in my build up, and that is sorting out the engine to ensure she's going to be reliable enough not to need the local towing service to rescue me every time. The current 3F has a blown head gasket and I suspect has been running around like that for some tim...

3F Water leak

I've got a water leak at the back of my 3F, along with a suspected blown head gasket. Can anyone confirm if they have a welch plug or 2 at the back of the block?

High offset rims onto a 73?

Hey guys, wanting to know if I can run a negative 26 offset rim on a FJ73. Looking for the extra track width mainly. The car is currently at standard height but will get a lift in the near future, and the rims I'm looking at are 15 x 8. Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks guys, the holes in my bar appear to have been drilled for a different winch, they are close to 10.75" wide, altho the height appears to be correct for the Warn. Nothing a welder and some steel plate can't fix!

Warn Winch Bolt Pattern

Howdy all, looking to buy a winch for my FJ73 and I've been offered a slightly used (6 or 7 times) Warn winch at a top price, but not sure if it will fit my bar. Does anyone know the standard Warn bolt pattern/spacing, and will and 8000lb winch be enough to drag the 73? Not planning on doing axle de...
