Re: Td42 turbo upgrade to a gt2871 or to4e ????
hi I would think a GT2871 would be good on this engine, being a roller turbo it wold be less laggy than a T04 turbo Have one GT2871 on my highly modified GQ, but with the smaller RD28T engine, very good power from around 2000 prm and upwards to around 5000rpm. Here`s the mods I have: Bigger turbo ...

Re: Injection pump 1HD-T
Thanks for all answers :) I know how the boost compensator works ie reduce fuel at low boost etc.. but maybe put a shim under the diaphragam/boost comp. helps to overcome the fuel reduction problem :), because I only noticed it after I turned up the boost. And being a 12mm plunger pump, I would have ...

Injection pump 1HD-T
Is it true that this pump decreases the amount of fuel as the boost /rpm increases :? The adjustments done is 1 turn clockwise on fuelscrew and boost set to 16psi, Note, this is done just as a test. As the rpm increases, the boost does just the opposite, the peak boost (16psi at 1800rpm) is just 9 ...

Hi, just wondering if anyone here has a 2.8 litre diesel Patrol with gas fitted. Rough price on supply and install if done, and any info on the pros and cons after having it installed? Thanx in advance. Have Powershot 2000 gas-kit on my highly modified GQ with RD28T engine. Have also a Snow water ...

1-HZ Denco manifold-biggest turbo
Hi all What is the biggest turbo you can mount on a Denco exhaust manifold, before the comp. housing hitting motormounts/frame etc... My truck is a 1-HDT factory turbo, and my plan was to use the turbo I bought some months ago, a GT3071R with ext. wastegate, and make up an adaptorflange CT26-T3, but ...

I am considering LPG injection for my TD42 patrol and was wondering if anyone has had experience in this and how it compares to a turbo? You will probably find that the turbo is well out of its efficiency range, pumping hot air, which is less dense, therefore the pressure is dropping. Assuming you are measuring boost at the inlet manifold, not on the outlet side of your boost control before the waste-gate actuator. Sorry in advance ...

80 series pump, overboost??.......
The truck is an 80 series 4.2 1HD-T. It has adjustable boost, and fuel wound up to max, so next is removing the pump and have it modified. Anyway, to night I was out testing. Boost was set to 1.5bar, only for this ride. And the ting is that it reached 1.5bar at 2500rpm, then the boost/power slowly ...

How much power can you get out of the stock CT26 turbo, it is a 95 mod 1HD-T engine. Gonna do serious mods to it, big exhaust, FMIC, extractors, adj. pump etc..... was thinking of getting a GT30 roller turbo if the stocker is too small.

Re: Ideal Turbo for a TD42 -- Is a T25 any good ?
I can get a T25 pretty cheap. I understand it has lots of fast spooling capacity but won't make lots of top end power. Sounds good for the bush. Would it be a good choice ? What is the best turbo for a TD42 ? A T25 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too small for a TD42. T25 is the OEM turbo on an RD28T. Runs ...

Thanks guys, have 4inch lift, 35" tires on it now, the GT2871R.86AR is working great on my 2.8 GQ, lot of power up in the rev range, starts to boost at 1600, 0.5bar at 2000 and 1.3 bar at 2800, so being a 1HD-T 4.2 in the Yota, a GT30 seems the turbo to use I guess.
