Here on the farm my car utilise the new ICOM IC 400 pro. The advantages of this set is that you can get it programmed to be run as a RT as well transmitting at 25W. ( I have this unit set to the frequency that my Tait RT'(s) run )
The advantage of this for us is that the conventional 5W transmit ...

I suppose the torque rod will be tight now if its up 2-3 inches

Undo it where it is right now, let it sit on the suspension. It might be hard to undo the bolts cause there will be a bit of stress placed on the rod at them mo.

When placing the new rod in, adjust it until you can place both bolts ...

Ok first off remove your old one.
If you havent lifted your hilux, suspension wise you wont need to adjust it.

But you will have to adjust it to the same length as the old one before installing.

Just got my one from snake racing today. Took a while to order it/ship it here. looks great now

Is it EFI ?

Could be a problem with the blackbox.
A mate had a similar problem with his datsun 1600 with a Nissan Donk (cant remember the engine) doesnt matter anyway, since he's an auto electrican he figured out there was a problem with the EFI side of things.

doesnt move sounds very weird ...

Dont forget to torque the head bolts to exactly 118 NM

To do this just get a torque wrench, just looks like a power bar with number on a turnable dial at the end.

From there you'll should figure everything else

Good things take time-thats one thing i have never learnt

Overkill sells some pretty cool led's, I bought some for mine. They are only about $35 each and the best part about being individual is if you break one you only replace one.

The Truckline shop at Hexham also sells them but are a lil more expensive.

A question relating to this......
I know i should know this but asking other peoples opinons?

If your cam gear mark is slightly out by 2mm (retarded) could this cause a ticking noise? or should i advance it which would leave the cam gear mark lining up with the cylinder head?

Cheers :P

Yea just tap the wire straight onto the relay with the other lights, make sure the thickness of the main positive wire will be able to handle the extra current draw of maybe 5 amps. And while you're at it you might need a heavier fuse.

I'd be interested to know what lame yellow bulbs my gen2 4Runner uses. I'm thinking H4, but only cos it's popular....ish.

Has Anyone here ever intergrated an alternating flasher unit into there car headlights?

I'm attempting this setup and coming to the conclusion i have to seperate the full bean switch wire and main power to run each headlight on a seperate circuit.

Am i correct
