Re: where to get parabolics or coiled and what price?
What are parabolic springs? leaf springs that are thicker in the middle and taper down the be thinner at the ends. also the leafs usually only touch at the ends, with a block between each leaf in the middle(some claim this increases longevity due to less wear from friction... i say that a load of ...

So... I was cruising round fourby's website looking at 33's and saw the radial claw comes in 33/12.5/15... cool... but then i saw that it also comes in 33/15.5/15!!! As a light truck tyre. These have a 3 ply sidewall and 6 ply tread. Is this better for a 4x4?? Wood Guys, Im aware that the 3 and 6 ...

Re: 60
Had the 37s fitted and balanced to 10" rims about 6 weeks ago! Takes less than a second to accidently knock a weight off a wheel. Specially if your underneath doing wheel alignments etc... I've seen this happen on several different cruisers and death wobbles were always solved by getting wheels and ...

To the best of my knowledge, (and i'm in the middle of my research like you), I think the 75 series front springs are the longest ones we can use. This will also give wheelbase extension depending on which way round you use them. My current plan is to cut off the stock suspension from the chassis ...

Guys, After seeing one of these in the flesh today, I've realised I need to source a set of 35's and stick them on my forty. I'm having problems finding a 'size availability' chart to see what size options I have. Does anybody have a link?? Also, as stated above, their obviously a little hard to get ...

As I may have mentioned previously, I just did this to mine. It was safe to lever the shaft out far enough to put a new O-ring on. Im a mechanic anyway so just got my o-ring off the shelf at work. I'd suggest putting some sealant of some sort on the shaft/o-ring when you slot it back in though as ...

40 Series transfer case oil leak help
Guys, Well, somethings let go in my transfer case and i've started to have regular little pools of oil gathering underneath it. Its leaking from the area pictured below: http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e88/woodyjbh/DSCF2092-1.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e88/woodyjbh/DSCF2097.jpg Now, the ...

cheers guys. Forgot about the solid lines for the brake booster. That might be a pain in the ass. Looking to do the Qld 2+2. ie 2" bodylift and 2" suspension. This keeps me legal and high enough to fit some 35's with plenty of space to spare. (most peoe will now say " but 35's aren't legal" which is ...

Try the search function mate, its been talked about on here lots recently. .......... Try it yourself. Plug in 'bodylift' then any other combination of 40 or fj40 etc. Not everyone has time and motivation to troll through posts from 2006. I'm looking for current information and opinions from people ...

Yeah, The thing that interested me most was the shackle reversal kit. Combine it with a set of 45 series trayback rear springs (Their really long) and the front of the 40 flexes like crazy. just gotta figure out what to put on the rear. Thinking the same springs with drop shackles... I've emailed ...

4x4 RWC's in Townsville??
All, Just about to pick up my V8 40 shorty and I need to get a RWC done so I can change it into my name. Im up in sunny Townsville and at the moment, aside from your regular joe blow mechanic's, I cant find anyone decent to do it for me. So, is there any guys up here that are '4x4 sympathetic'??? Or ...
