Re: VDJ7x exhaust
Taipan on mine happy with that ..as Joshy said easy to fit ...access dump pipe bolts through the plastic splash guard in the wheel arch with an open end ring spanner, tis easier than trying from underneath with a socket, swivel extension etc. Cheers for that yeah looks like manta :-) Hope I haven't ...

VDJ7x exhaust
Hey Team So I flattened the pipe out wheeling today and would like to know what after market exhaust set ups people have on their VDJ 4.5l v8 lancruisers. Not that it matters I have a 76 series. Not to worried about the sound but would like a bit more grunt. Current thinking is a Either a manta ...

Re: 200 series live axle
Hay mate I just got myself a 76 and my old man got a 200. (very happy Toyota dealer) If you want a luxury tourer then go the 200 with a 40mm lift and lockers it will go more places then you would want to drive it. I got the 76 and in short want a little Over The Top when it came to mods but it has ...

Calling Perth panel beaters and painters
Hay All Today I picked up a set of ARB flares today and did not realize they need to be painted apparently they are not UV treated. Is there anyone in the Perth metro area that can be recommended where i can get them painted will just be plain old gloss black. Figured i may as well support people's ...

Re: 100 series lift.
is yours a 105series? solid axle front, not IFS? I lifted my 105 2" and run 35x12.5" MTZs on 1" offset 16x8" rims. it rubbed badly on the front guards, I couldnt get into my driveway without mods. I relocated the front diff 18mm forward at the chassis mounts, trimmed the plastic inner guards and ...

Re: 100 series lift.
The hungys have plenty of guard clearance and room for bigger tires with minimal lift. I have run up to 7" lift on mine with 38s. IT was too big to be enjoyable to drive at that height. BEst advice I can give is don't go over about 4" lift. You can still run 36s with that lift and minimal rubbing ...

Re: Turbo on 1HZ
There was a three piece output shaft on the older r151 boxes, the output shaft coming out of the tranny was coupled to the transfer input with a loose fitting sleeve. The sleeve oly contacted about 1.5cm's iirc of the input shaft and was prone to wear and eventual stripping. Rebuilds are done with ...

I have a surf a 2lte 2.4 turbo dsl and have ever overheated it even when plugging through deep sand and reving the guts out of it... or towing the camper trailer... the ADD system can be over ridden then throw in some manual hubs and you basically have a standard hilux driveline.. ok you don't but ...

i thought this is why you have a tow ball or rec hitch at the front of your tow car.... just next to the winch... front towball make moving trailer easy apparently. yeah it does for silly people like me who can't reverse a trailer to save my life. But i have used the winch on the front to bring in ...
