Outer Limits 4x4 Board

it's not a 200tdi manifold and i cant find any markings on it but dose seem to have the same "arms" (the manifold is 3 peices) as a standard 300 one but the turbo bolt up is completly different

i need a new manifold on my 300tdi defender but the manifold is not standard and am hoping someone here can give me some info. it's a 1998 d/c defender that has had an auto conversion in melbourn when near new and the turbo is water cooled. where the turbo meets the manifold it is a totaly diferent ...

i need to do a drive of around 1000km's and just want to make sure that after my cv exploded on the weekend that doing that type of distance with the axle and cv removed is not going to damage anything else. as far as i see it it should be fine but just want to make sure.

yeah just cut it out and put a solid axle in. it will cost but is well worth it.

i had ifs on my lux and the best thing i ever did was do a sas

it's a peice of piss last weekend was the first time i had done it and although it took awhile (a day) due to it being the first time as well as i did the swivle hubs . i think next time should only take me a few hours to do both sides. it is just a very mesy job.

way didn't you put those prices up last week i just did all mine last weekend and the whole lot cost around $30 more than that through repco

the way stumpy has done it is the way mine is now as well as a small triangle peice on the under side of where you put that red one

reinforce it! it takes a lot less time to do now than when they rip off the chassis and you have to pull it all apart and put it back together.
trust me i had my driver side one go at 100km/hr i came to a safe stop but think what would happen if it f%$ked with your steering at that speed.

those cable lockers work great until it gets muddy and you have to crawl under the rig to engage them

we worked out if you spin the wheel once if only one wheel is lifted you can double it
or
if both raised just count and work out the fraction

ok i done the spin the wheel thing we marked the flange spun the wheel and got a differant count front and back but should i have to double the revs or what cause i got 2.25 front and 2.125 rear for 1 rev

the charts are fine until someone changes the ratios, sells the rig and the new owner has no idea what the after market ratios are

can anyone tel me if there is a way of working out what ratio a diff is in a '92 sr5 2.8d with out pulling it apart

make sure you don't buy one with ifs unless its a real bargin and you save more than it costs for a sas

no the mounting seems fine and yes i am using the right filter it appers that the filter it self is coming loose but no matter what is done it still leaks

can anyone tell me why my oil filter is f#%^%$*# still leaking. i have tryed a number of oil filters now and it still seems to piss out oil and somehow come loose the thread and everything seems fine any help would be great as it is now really starting to piss me off as every time i think it is ...

don't know what year but tell your mate that it dosn't matter if it is ifs (at the right price ) he can always sas it that is what ive done and if you can find the right seller it's supprising how much they will come down when told the bad points of ifs

sas it i just went through all this and in the end i gave my lux to sam at overkill and he is doing the job and i should get it back next week only problem is no lux for 2 weeks

thanks redzook rang overkill turns out they are just around the corner from where i stay when up in sydney and for $3750 and 1-2 weeks they can get it done going to talk to them next wensday
