yea, it still works, and very well too, i took it for a drive yesterday, and its not significantly quieter, so i dunno. gonna go down and a see a bloke this morning.

the whine is slowly going away tho, so thats what i dunno. ill pull it out anyway, and do the seals while im there.

its not a bad colour, just a bit discoloured, i havent done any 4wding since i changed it, so i just thoght it may be the gunk thats coming out of it.

yea, lsd, and yea, breathers are on the list after this, although im starting to steer clear of the mud now, it gets everywhere. do u think there could just be shit in it? the oilds already getting a bit mucky and i only changed it last week. could that be all the shit thats in it?

cheers man. see thats the thing, i dnt think ive broken anything, i just droped the oil, and it was very mucky, but no fillings or anything came out. it looked muddy and shit, so i think maybe theres shit in the gears? im honestly not sure, but i can get it out and get it cleaned??? thanks heaps for ...

also man, is anything gonna fall apart when i pull it out? or does it just come out in one piece?

Can anyone point me in the right direction of taking a diff centre out? ive got a whine in it, so wanna take it out and get it looked at. cheers for all your help

sorry, i meant after 40. ive changed the oil, and if got a bit better, then we put a wynns lsd quietner stuff in it and its getting a bit better now. its not a grind, its like a whine. like a wheel bearing, but not.

Hey, ive got a 93 dual cab lux, 2.8D. when im driving its got a slight whine in the diff, only happens after 4, then when i back off nothing, or put the clutch in and nothing. i changed the oil the other day, it was a bit ordinary, but the mechanic said he looked inside it and said it all looked ok ...

yea. it was actually a 30mm socket, but it all went well, but im now waiting on a dust lease and collar

thank u very much... its the shaft thats going into it, looks like the front tail shaft? if that makes sense. so its do able from home? is it generally just the seal

Gday, ive got a 93 2.8L lux, and its started leaking from where the front shaft goes into it. How hard is it to do at home, and wat tools would be needed. is it just a seal in it? cheers for all ur help in advance

na, ive got a dual cab now. i thought maybe some extra storage, and engel on rollers? im not really sure. Just someone i know said they've seen it done. looks really good apparently. my inlaws are a cabinet makers, so they can make it up for me. ill get some photos up when i start

Has anyone seen a dual cab lux that has had the rear seats taken out and tuned into a tourer??

need some ideas of what i want to do.
