Just to extend this a little further...

Did the manual and auto 1HD-FTE 100's have the same power figures as one another? i.e. Was the engine de-rated at all to suit either box?

Thanks.

I dont think so, they are both pretty robust. "Seat of the pants" performance will obviously vary however. I ...

I just had the two piece shaft made into a single shaft using the old unis and slip yoke. Cost me $250 bucks. Smooth as now...no more bearing to flog out...and cheaper than a genuine replacement bearing. But the vehicle is a tourer not a comp rig, so this option may not suit you for whatever reason.

80 series are only 'legally' good for 3.5T. Pretty expensive risk you'd be taking towing a flash van that size around if something were to go wrong, because sure as hell insurance wouldn't pay up.

70 Series Revamp Already???

Am looking to purchase a new 70 series but have 'heard' that there could be a model revamp shortly with modified interior for air bags etc????

I have a 2004 SR5... 2" sus, 2"body. I have 33's with just a little scrubbing in the same areas as shown above. If the alloys are the same (which i would imagine they are) they're only 15x7's and +8 offset. I had to buy some 15x8's to put the 33's on as they are 12.5 wide and they ended up being ...

As Dave said above.

Furthermore, from my understanding that includes combined lift from tyres, suspension. i.e. put a 2" suspension lift in and you can't 'legally' put bigger tyres on as you will be over your 2"

Those 2 codes sounds like the MAF sensor in the intake needs cleaning. See here:

02 sensor is discussed in the link below. You will not pull a fault code for 02 sensor as it is not 'faulty ...
