Had a horrible feeling the guards would need cutting, for know I think I'll take the skirt's option and just put the biggest tyres that will fit under the guards.

Don't want to start cutting yet, only had the truck a fortnight!!

I've got a '95 Discovery Tdi and want to put a bit of lift and some new rubber under it.

Ideally I want to go to 33's but don't know what is necessary to make them fit,

How high to go etc, I don't want to start ...

If ur pulling the instrument cluster out undo the screws, unclip the speedo unplug the connectors and it should come away.

My tacho didn't work and after changing the sender it still wouldn't go.

Took the instrument cluster out and then took out the tacho, turned out there was a track burnt out on ...

I couldn't get hold of a template so I took the snorkel off my mates truck and measured where the holes went, marked up my panel and started cutting.

Even this way was fairly easy.

I am now having trouble where to get a hose to go from the snorkel to the air filter, then I haven't really looked ...

But he said it was fibreglass, no assumptions were made.

There's a bloke getting around in a MK with a steel canopy on it, looks like the whole truck just came out of the factory. Every time he goes wheeling he polishes the diffs and gearbox when he gets home!!

There are 20 bolts (or there were on mine when I removed it last week)

I replaced the torx with std hex head bolts they are less likely to strip and once done you don't have to find the torx bit every time you want to take the back off.

A couple of the torx stripped when removing mine so I ground ...

Local auto parts got mine in for about $45 per side that was bearings and grease seal etc,

He looked them up in a CBC catalogue dunno if he got them from there but would be cheaper to get them directly

The locking tabs were only a couple of bucks each they had to come from Nissan though.

Spike_Sierra's method is the one that I used,

Initially tho had problems with the radio not working cos the convenient terminal block under the dash with a live and a ground wasn't so convenient. Whenever I tried transmitting the rear wiper would start moving!

In the end just put in a snap lock on ...

Go CBC,

Just did the bearings in my truck (MQ not GQ) but got the bearings from the local auto parts, all they did was open the catalogue and order them from CBC then put on a comission

Will get the yellow pages out next time!

When the drivers side lights went dull on my truck turned out to be dodgy contacts on the light/indicator stalk. After a good clean with contact cleaner all was good.

I hope your problem is as simple as mine was!

The stuff patroldude refers to is Wynns Diesel System Purge, it's meant to be run through the car using a machine at the garage but the occasional place will sell it to you.

As he said just pull the supply and return lines from the tank and put into the bottle and run the truck as normal giving it ...

Patroldudes truck was still that big last night when I saw it, reckon it would be a scary ride on the road, even the towey that took it home for him winged about it!

Lower than 106 normally as the bullbar and guard are off they got bent when I was playing

The 24V truck MK refers to didn't have a lot of luck with fires, and the electrical work was all done by an auto sparky

Also things would randomly stop and start working for no particular reason (that anyone could find).

12V seems to be more reliable when the truck behaves like this hey ...

With the 12V and 24V motors, I stripped one of each down to make a good one all the parts inside appear to be identical except for the plug on the end.

Turns out one of the wiper contacts on the circuit board in the 12V one had gone, soldered the board from the 24V one in its place, it works so ...

How about a light board with 24V globes in it that you tie to the back of the trailer

Then take it off when done

Could also use it on any other trailer you want to tow

The little plug in the bottom of the fuel filter with a wire coming out for the water sensor started leaking on my truck,

A bit of araldite and it's been good for about 6000Km now

There's a mini-keyboard on a mount from the passenger side of the transmission tunnel, and a trackball to the right of the steering wheel.
