ok, then it is a common g13bb engine. the g133bb hasn't any crankshaft sensor but it has the camshaft sensor positioned in the left back of the head. i would check it... the cranckshaft sensor has been introduced in the 2001-onwards jimny engines with double camshaft and is another source of problem...

that is just an easy solution that does not alter anything in the ecu.
for sure it fixes the effect but does not solve the cause.

You have a Series 1 and you are experiencing the 'Series 1 Hiccup'. This is due to a faulty crank angle sensor, which will need to be replaced. In the meantime, when it happens (generally in top gear at around 90-110kph) just push your clutch pedal in, tap the accelerator twice then release the clu...

I think your right. i've just bought one from suzukistore about $120.00 havn't fitted it yet. mine broke down under low spead load when it got hot under the bonnet. it is correct. one simple way to check if the camshaft sensor is gone, is to put some water on it when the engine problem appears. eng...

if you have a g13bb engine (that with single camshaft) i would suggest you to check and eventually replace the camshaft position sensor.

on the g13bb engine you can manually modify the idle using the register on the throttle cable.

you can't build a 4,16 "rocklobster" using that set of pre-1984 sj 410 gears to mate with samurai1300 gears.

save your time and get a 4,16 kit from usa, they are pretty cheap now.

hi zukiny,
i think arb is the only locker available for the jimny front axle.
I have used it for almost 3 years and performed well but i experienced some cv joint failures.
i suggest you to junk the welded diff and put an open diff in the front if you don't want to get an arb.

hey zukiny,
it's good to hear from you.
if you need more hp and you have a spare ecm, you could ship it at this guys
http://www.digitaltuning.ch/english/index.html
and they will do the trick (+ 10 hp).
but again, once you will have your new gears fitted in the t.case, i bet you won't need more power.
keep us informed on your progress...

I think you might have misunderstood trialjimny's post.... he refers to "specific tools" i.e... Suzuki special service tools I am guessing. I figure you will want to work with the factory service manual, so at least you can see what the SST looks like and make a descision if you can use a screwdriv...

you need specific tools and if your friend does not have mechanical skills i would suggest to take the jimny to a 4x4 shop to get the bearings replaced.

2.511/2.123=1,1827 =) a 410 t-case on a coily sierra/samurai gives 18,2% more reduction in low. swapping the t/case is not a bolt in job and it is very likely that will cause a lot of vibes.at least this is what i found when i tried to put it on my jimny. a 410 t/case on a WT sierra is bolt in, you ...

very easy.

1) cut the two wires that comes out from the 4wd switch in the front of the t/case
2) put an electrical switch on your dash
3) connect the wires to the switch
