Screwed my tailshaft today, Was woundering what its worth to re-tube my rear tailshaft. Or just get a second hand one.

And where's the best place to re-tube in the Newcastle area ?

gibson driveshafts in newcastls, $480 for a complete driveshaft.
If i was to do it again i would put the money towards a free wheelin kit....

I run a double cardinal joint and have spaced the gearbox down 10mm . + your extras
- 5 inch coils
- 6 inch shocks 45mm tough dog
- 5 deg. carstor plates
- panhard rods
- steering dampner
- extended brake lines

Noticed a few of these going cheaply at the moment and wanting to ditch the old Rover to something bigger and more comfort [read things that actually work] I have heard horror stories on the front diffs in the 105 model ??? but being stories i would rathe have first hand knowledge please . Yes only on gas

new kit just fitted and runs great, but gas systems don't like snorkles when ram feeding air . thats why i turned the head around, thats why u need to mod the air box.............but i don't know how............

After some info on modifying a air-cleaner box fitted with a snorkle to stop back-firing.............

For the moment i have turned the snorkle head facing backwards ,this has done the job for the - short term...............

So any ideas ?

Fixed all the vibration problems...................

I too give mine a hard time . Locked and 315/75/16 and has been sweet.. But ,when in standard form i busted one ..... Never reverse up anything steep,and never snatch anyone in reverse either... i have a club member who has been through 6 diffs...i think its all about how and who sets the centres up ...

making up some H/D lower control arms,and woundering if anyone can tell me what inside diameter pipe i need for the BUSHES.

they helped me find the faulf... .
It was the front harness joining the front abs sensors ,wires were stretched and broken inside the harness .
Lucky i had a spare harness of another diff i had in the shed .
So all is Good .

Scott ,u will have to make your exhaust headers up.block huggers dont fit that marks suppied..engine mount is the prob as u mentioned to me..

PWR are the way to go

depends on size of your tyres,ive got 4'' running 315's,without a panard on about 45mm body offset,so i run'em .so may get away with just a rear one fitted.

sorry about your troubles,im not rubbing it in but i broke a rear axle in my 100 the other weekend,got home pulled out the axle ,and removed the broken piece out of the locker with a extendable magnet and slipped the new one in .easy .sorry
