Help for newbie on tyres - bull bar- courses

Just bought a mitz challenger (haven't picked it up yet) but it needs tyres. The car will mainly be driven on road, however we will from time to time go off road around Oberon and possibly do longer trips with the wife (Fraser Island- Red Centre etc) now the kids are getting older. Never done any 4 ...

Companies that inspect cars for you??

Before i buy a car I want to get it checked out. here in NSW, NRMA used to do it for a fee, however I believe there are better companies to get.
Any body recommend someone?
