Vits spit diffs because of an oil feed galley that is like a little tube moulded into the casting. It's job is to feed oil fom the main pumpkin area to the pinion bearing. Check all the little black hoses on the inlet manifold. I'll bet it is the short one on the side just in front of the carby mount. If it is off it will make the car sound like it is missing.

Don't waste your money on the toyota stuff. get a 4dr wagon vitara front cut from an importer. 16valve fuel injected and legal and hauls arse.
