I couldn't resist anymore! After about 200,00km in my GQ TD42 I have just turboed and regret not doing it earlier. I was like you and pretended it was ok but eventually got sick of slow acceleration from standstill and constant changing of gears. Now I find it much easier and relaxed to drive and ...

just put a factory GU turbo with 3 inch system on my GQ which has done about 340 thousand kms. Sump was clean as when I took it off the motor ran fine for years. It runs like a dream. I just had it tuned on a dyno but not maxxed out as I want it to last. EGT is the key. Bogged's advice is on the ...

Exhaust manifold gasket td42

I think what you will find is that even if you found a suitable filter to fit, the precleaner housing wont flow enough for the turbo.

I'm in the same situation (GQ turbo conversion) and Im fitting a GU TD42T airbox which is similar to the ZD30 airbox except for flanges

GQ Front Door Hinges

I have done a search and looked at the bible but cant find anything on door hinges. My front door hinges on my GQ are making loud clicking noises when opening. The doors haven't sagged but I think this is a common problem on GQs. I have tried cleaning them and oiling without sucess so I guess the ...

All sorted,
It gives you 3 attemps at putting in the 4 digit pin before it locks out.
If it locks out then you need to disconnect the power for 5 minutes before trying again.

I think I have the pin number (a 4 digit number was writtern in the owners book) but the radio seems to be only accepting 3 digits before it locks out.

It only gives me one go every 5 minutes.

Thanks

I have a nissan badged eurovox radio which is asking for a security code after disconnecting the battery.
Is this code a 3 pin number or a 4 pin?

Thanks

Muddy, Funny you say that, when I lived in Broken Hill and made many a night run back to Melbourne, of the 13 roos I collected, I only hit one the rest hit me on the sides of the car. So I can concur with the Psycho Roos in SW NSW. No Shoo Roo fitted just the bull bar that only got used once. Mel

Sorry for asking what everyone probably already knows but how do you know when Number 1 piston is at top dead centre on the compression stroke on a diesel?

Also does the rocker cover gasket need to be replaced each time it is removed?

Thanks

Mine takes about 100m for the light to go on and slightly less for the light to go off.

If you get someone to flick the switch in the dash you should be able to hear the actuator in the diff make a clicking noise.

This is just to share my limited experience with engine oils with everyone and to get some opinions.
