Yes of course - I didn't understand what you meant.

Yep the drop hubs allowed the yellow Def at the expo to run 37" tyres from memory and the xtra track still allowed full steer lock. So combine the 37" tyres with the drop axle hubs and the already good std LR diff clearance gives some mean diff clearance. Maybe I'll look into this for my FA RR with ...

No diff whether manual or auto - it's still the same problem with trying to line up the g/b mainshaft with the t/c input gear whilst trying to line up all the bolt holes etc. The studs hold all the weight whilst you lin eup the splines and then slide it home, bolt up a couple bolts, unscrew the stud...

PS - I also have a P38 alloy wheel/tyre that I used to use as a spare - easier to lift than the std steel spare. Good Michelin tyre. Wheel a bit knocked around.
At least the L322 RRs have 5 alloys as std!

Yep sure looks good - The yellow Defender at the LR expo at Penrith also had the same swivel drop axle setup at the rear as well giving it 4 wheel steer as well. I paid $140 each for the P38 RR Boge shocks, put them on and dorve it for 2 weeks and then swapped them off for the trade-in. Make me an o...

What do the M10 Studs do? I replaced the main gear when i bought the rangie with a late model cross drilled one and made the oil scoop at the same time. Its been in there almost 2 years now and still looks like new. You put the dummy studs into the g/b adapter housing and then just need to roughly ...

Hi Daniel, So the blue P38A for sale on the RR and Disco forum was yours? What did you buy? Ron I ended up with a 2005 HSE td6. I was looking at the Dv6 Sport but the suspension and cabin setups were not to my liking. I now have some parts left over from the P38 including the new set of EAS bellows...

Why risk anything by not taking out the LT230 t/c as a unit? - it really is so simple. When I was playing with my RR a couple of years ago and had to remove and replace my t/c, I had it down to about 20 minutes. All it takes is 3 x M10 x 100 long blank studs, a trolley jack and one person. And don't...

Electric fans are OK for light general bitumen work.
If you intend to do any serious work of 4wding then they will not cope - if they did then they would be fitted as OEM.
Just look up the fan output specs for electric fans and compare to the original fan specs.

Hi Ron Were'nt they on the yellow Defender ute? or was there a Disco with them on as well? All LR's use the same system so they'd fit any LR. Yeah, Mal Storey at MaxiDrive at Carrara, Qld makes them and many other goodies for LR's. ps my P38 RR is now gone as a trade-in - to the wreckers probably? D...

I run a GMC 6.5 tdi V8 running about 12 psi boost and am about to fit a huge intercooler. I run MD diff locks and HD axle shafts, county CVs. I regularly give it full throttle and never had any driveline failures. By the way, with my old 3.9 petrol motor I used to break front axle drive shafts regul...

We did it with 3 vehicles in 2000 - a 1.3 zook, my LC and my RR. We wind towed the zook by sitting at 130 kph and having the zook sit about 1 metre behind our camping trailer - we covered 100s of km that way during the night otherwise it would have taken days just to get to Cairns. The only headache...

No such thing as std LT230R or LT230T ratios -they are many ratios available in these t/case boxes!
