Changing T-50 Toyota gearbox oil
Just wondering the easiest/safest way to change the gearbox oil in a Toyota T-50 5spd?? Is it possible to just pull out the gearstick and pour it in, or is there a better way. I've got one in my sierra, and there is next to no room to feel/see where the hole is to pour in new oil..any help would be ...

Instead of roof racks which alter your center of gravity, have you considered putting draws/comparments in the rear area where the seats go. I ripped my seats out, built 3 main compartments and 2 smaller ones behind the wheel arches ouy of marine ply, put lockable lids on them and carpeted it all ...

Thanks heaps for all you suggestions, I will get in this weekend and give it all a good going over. Surging 4-age.....any ideas??
My sierra has developed a highrev/surging problem. I've got a toyota 4-age engine in it, and I'm running the original 92 sierra airbox with a K&N filter in it. It will idle normally when I first start it, but as soon as I drive a short distance it will either idle at 1200rpm, or it will surge ...

Not sure if if we're talking about the same thing here, but by centre console, do you mean everything like the stereo unit, ash tray, and the air vent controlls, or something else? If you do mean all this it can be a bit of a job. After unscrewing a complete dash from a zuk I was surprised to find ...

Your biggest worry would be your insurance not covering you if your in an accident. As for the cops, I have quiet a few mates in the force, and believe me, probably 95% of QLD cops wouldn't even know what size tyres are on their cop cars let alone what size is legal on the all the different makes of ...

I The vibrations were the biggest issue in this conversion and i still have not been in a toyota converted zook that didnt have bad vibrations. I I couldn't agree more, after getting my 4AGE/Toy 5spd up and running, I've never been fully happy with the vibrations from the engine. It's not a bad ...

If you live near the beach, I found the simplist and most rust free way(if there is such a thing) is to use fibre glass cloth and resin. I just cut my doors down pretty much the same way as everyone else has, and used resin/cloth to cap it. I found it's easier to screw some peices of timber flush ...

I agree, I've driven beaches on both muddies, and all terrains, and unless your trying to do steep dune climbs, or spraying your mates with big rooster tails of sand... there isn't too much difference. Just keep your speed/momentum constant and you'll have no troubles...... zooks love the ...

Just went through the sierra and vitara bibles, and I noticed that both models are listed with wheel studs as m12x1.25, however, I have vitara rear disk brakes on my sierra, and the wheel studs are different to the normal sierra front ones. One more thing and it's probaly the most important!! Be aware of back-packers and overseas tourists in hired 4wdrives. They are usually in old army coloured LWB landrovers or Cruiser troopies. There have been quite a few single and multi car accidents up here (I live 1/2 hour away from barge landing ...
