depends on your tune, you can set it no no vss, but it will stall easier at low rpm as the computer is set for driving tune.

Re: DISC BRAKE CONVERSION WARNIG

I found the same thing when i set mine up, Using the roctoy brackets, i found i could get the caliper closer to the center of the rotor by a couple of mm so i re-designed brackets and got them cut to try and combat what happened to yours, they still hang over the top but only just.

Re: what efi tank to use in a 85 hilux non efi

You can use your original tank, just use a Walbro pump they are small enough to fit, by about 2mm, and add a terminal connector fiiting from a VL commodore fuel tank

Re: Hilux V8, Height of Engine?

what i do in that situation is whilst there is an original engine in I weld a piece of box section under the chassis to brace the gearbox height, the when you fit the new motor it fits to the correct angle and height.

Re: hilux front diff with surf hubs?

I do not like it at all mate, i once looked into it too, it is done like that by some blokes in the u.s, but if you have to ask is it ok? and its brakes, do you really feel safe? All i can suggest is do not go cheap on brakes, is your, or your family's life really worth putting into that situation ...

Re: hilux front diff with surf hubs?

budscustoms does a wide track kit for 350 $350 that's expensive when you can land them into the country from overseas for under $250 .... I understand supporting local guys but with the Aussie dollar the way it is they need to become more price competitive ... I'd like to know how you get them for ...

There mounting point to the chassis are different, so in a short answer yes they are different. In saying that some makes are 2 piece and all you have to do is change the lower half.
