Yeah, i have a flipped hilux axle, but i think mine has hilux steering arms that run the draglink and steering rod in front. They just rub a bit when articulated so ive been ...

Re: Clutch?? Or gearbox??
There will be a leak in the hydrolic system. when the pedal is pressed down, it releases the clutch disc, therefore disconnecting drive to the gearbox so you can change the gear. If there is no pressure in the system, the drive will be going through the gearbox and when you try to change gear, it ...

Re: I know your answer allready ........ BUT .....
Hey,
so all the head problems you found on ebay were of the 3lt V6?
Cause ive never heard of the V6 having head problems, the 2.6 petrol astron motor has had head problems since the early eightys when it was released in the first sigma and still had head problems when the pajeros came out.

I know what you mean, my old LWB was a 3.5 and it had guts, my new shorty, well, it doesnt.NJV6 wrote: I have been spoilt with a shorty 3.5 Manual. I would look at a 2.8 TDi another time, I couldn't step back to a 3.0 and wouldn't get a 2.5 TDi again.

Re: I know your answer allready ........ BUT .....
Hey, The commy V6 is the easiest engine swap for the pajero, i'm not sure about cost though. Marks 4wd adapters have kits for a price. I believe you have been mistaken about the head problems, the V6 pajeros didnt really have head problems, the fameously unreliable Astron 2.6 4cyl had big problems ...

Re: sas shorty
Hey, great job, you make it look easy. :) Looks a much neater job than mine. Did you modify the brake system to compensate for the bigger hilux calipers? I recently bought The airbagged Sasd Shorty from NSW and the brakes dont really work, the problem is that the standard proportioning valve reduces ...

Yes, it definitely sucks. It's a little less strict in Vic, no speed limits and have to be 18 to get provisional licence 1

Re: Pics of Your Rig......
Hey,
the rearbar is from milweld customs when they were in bayswater. I'll eventually get around to putting softer flexy coils in the rear to fix that articulation.
One of the previous owners had this on the forum. The guy i bought it from wasnt a member.

Thanks for the reply, Mad Mac and Scott. The Tie rod ends are made by silverline, a repco brand. I'll check the other steering components, but i dont think thay are bent or broken. I have a feeling that torque steer might have a bit to do with breaking the tie rod ends. The left wheel, which is the ...

Once tackling a rocky track and the second(which i couldnt believe) snatching a patol out of a small bog hole. Has anyone else had the same problem? and Does any ...
