With seven of the eventual eighteen cars in for the night Friday we were hoping the weather man had got it wrong again as we had the most magnificent night sky so were looking forward to another fun filled Suspension stuff challenge on Saturday. Unfortunately the predicted storms came a little late ...

Keep your piping smaller. 3" on the intercooler is ok, but massive pipes means more space to pressurise and slower air speed = less responsive

Re: tigerz 12000 2 speed

most aftermarket off the shelf bars are only 4-5mm thick but use folds etc to strengthen it. I would suggest that you use at least 6mm or 8mm if it's just a flat plate to mount the winch to then brace it well. Weld a 30mm or so piece of the same material along the top at right angles to the face and ...

Re: more prone to break cv with lock rite or air locker?

you won't break a lokka and if you do, they have a 3 year warranty. CV's on the other hand are broken mostly due to driver error. If you're picking up wheels at a million RPM, sh#t will break when it all stops suddenly. With a locker of either type, you're less likely to be trying to use momentum ...

to clarify, yes you still need a taxi bar but that's a whole lot easier to fit than a cross brace. It needs to be at shoulder height and you run your harnesses over it. That way when you crash, your harness doesn't crush your shoulders into the seat like it would if it were attached just to the ...

does your half cage have cross bracing in the main roll hoop? If it does, then you don't need it in the internal cage as well. see here http://www.ccda4wd.com.au/images/RolloverProtectionDrawingMaster060428.pdf pages 3 and 4 show the ute cage specs and as long as your vehicle is a dual cab or ...

if you follow the CCDA guidelines, you are allowed to have just a roll hoop with a taxi bar across at shoulder height. The down side is that you have to have a full braced hoop as part of your tray. If it's not for comps, why not install the hoops without the cross bracing and just install a ...

what they mean by 'retro fit' is it's a kit to let people with older style drawers fit the newer latches.

It's also a great way for guys making their own to get flash looking handles for a reasonable price because they buy so many that they get a good buy price.
