Rust penetrant/ removing injectors

Trying to get the injectors out of a 3 cylinder yanmar TNE genset motor, its had water dripping on top of it and they are rusted in solid, ive tried an injector puller (slide hammer type), no go, question is, whats the best brand of rust penetrant to soak them in? and would it be safe to warm the ...

Not a good idea in my opinion, if you take it off road and flex it the body will develop cracks for sure.

TIG welding/welders

Couple of questions for the welding gurus here, i own a couple of boats (one aluminium, the others fibreglass but has a lot of stainless steel bits) so im thinking about buying a Tig welder, dont want to spend a fortune, but dont want cheap crap either, it will be used for light work like making rod ...

Re: AIR LOCKERS, china copys

I would fix the ARB, the seals are readily available, basically they are just "O" rings made out of a brown coloured material, my local mechanic never had problems sourcing them to rebuild my diffs. Any good 4x4 shop should be able to get them for you. Your local ARB guy is full of shit.

Most boat chandelerys like Bias and whitworths sell it, so do fibreglass suppliers like FGI, preperation is the key make sure all areas have been sanded and wiped clean with acetone.

Re: Any detroit diesel experts here 6V53T

As luck would have it. I've just done a cat 1.1 motor today with the same symptoms. 2 loose injectors were letting combustion gases past the injector seals and blackening the fuel being returned to tank. Might be worth checking out. Do the engines run fine? One motor is running perfect, the other ...

Re: Any detroit diesel experts here 6V53T

Hey mate, Just a couple of possibilities, fungus is common in marine applications or carbon from injector tip blowby. It probably won't be a fuel rail as you would be making oil as well. Depending on the model will determine where the pickup pump is mounted but I think there is a tell tale hole to ...

Any detroit diesel experts here 6V53T

I have a boat with 2 GM detroit 6V53T,s in it, im having problems with fuel contamination, it appears that engine oil is getting back into the fuel return lines. We cut the tanks open and scrubbed them spotless, within a few days of running the clean fuel had gone black again. Is it possible for oil ...

Re: 12mm copper - Help please

Try Crane enfield metals in Penrith NSW, i used to work in their copper mill many years ago, it may be pricey but i think they would be able to do it for you, all copper pipe starts at about 4 inch diameter then they use a series of plugs and dies to gradually shrink or enlarge it. Not sure if they ...

(my post from Monthly) They REALLY need to change the no back and fill rule at the top of event 2, it is just stupid (IMO)! It in no way eliminates a vehicle due to driver skill or vehicle ability, the big trucks struggle to make the sharp left turn on flat dirt and if they don't they're ...
