Get yourself a tide times pamphlet that can be picked up at most servo's/bait shops, it's a big help knowing when the tides coming or going so you can get out on that firm sand.... saves petrol that way as your not pushing through dry sand. Take a short shovel too.... it's handy around the campsite ...

did you bench prime the master cylinder?

you can prime the hydrolic piping while its in the car if you use a syringe (big one obviously)

takes about 30 seconds to bleed the system if you bench prime the cylinder and system, or it willt ake 15-20 minutes of you pumping like crazy.

you are ...

Recondition or replace??

Hey guys, I've just been through a few of the old threads on engine upgrades, as I'm interested in installing either a toyota 4-AGE twin cam or a vitara 1.6 efi engine into my sierra. But in a few of the old threads it was mentioned that it would be wiser to leave the factory suzuki engine in the ...

I had originaly thought of putting it in the front, and welding the rear, but

A) I have to drive my zook to work everyday and don't enjoy the thought of an axle or diff crapping itself in peak hour traffic.( or any kind of traffic)

B) Would hate it even more if it crapped itself in the ...

I've got the cash... so front or rear d/lock??

I'm all cashed up and ready to spend some hard earned bucks on an air locker, only thing is I'm not sure weather to go front or rear. I was going to put it in the rear diff, but after talking to the guy at the shop he told me for beach work and stuff I'd be better off putting it in the front diff ...

I'm a bit nervous asking this after all the crap thats happening about this subject, but I am interseted in getting a set of rock hoppers for my 92 sierra, and am now unsure what would be best.

I was initally thinking of getting a series 1 mainly to get back my high way speed, and also because ...

I was told by a few people to go to your local RACQ workshop(only in Qld) and that they'd have or be able to get a part(some kind of adaptor for the speedo cable) to fix problem....haven't done it as yet and again, it might be for more common cars

track bars??

is anyone running home made or proffesionally made track bars?? I also think they are commonly called anti-diff wrap bars..(laymans terminoligy) Before I install a diff lock i'd like to put a track bar on to limit any diff movement (my sierra suffers a bit from it now)and was just wondering if ...

Well now I'm well and truely bamboozled....lol. perhaps I'd be better off just getting my rear diff welded up, and putting the money I've been saving towards some rock hopper gears..... ;) now that would be a good combo.

diff locks......again!!

Hey guys, I'm going mad trying to search through all the past posts to figure out what is the best kind of locking system to put in my diffs.... Most of the off roading I do is beach work, and some forestry/mud tracks. And the main things I'm concerned about is reliablity, performance, and cost.
My ...

grinding gears

Hey Guys, I've got a 92 sierra, slightly modified with 31's and 2inch lift, and I'm having trouble changing gears when I go from any gear(mainly 2nd) back to 1st. The gears grind, and I have to be almost stationary before I can put it into 1st gear. I don't think this normal, however a friend told ...
