Re: Tough Tracks 4x4 Challenge Series Round 2, 28th & 29th M

I hope everyone in Mod Class had a great time - even poor Jason (hope you mend quickly mate). I know you all hate me - but the mud was just 'there' and it was beckoning  Peter K. Peter - mod class tracks were interesting esp the mud - I like the mud - grew up driving in paddocks of mud - so ...

Re: Tough Tracks 4x4 Challenge Series Round 1, Feb 12-13th

Does anyone know what the ground conditions will be like?
Should we pack the mud diggers or more all round tyres?

Orange Rangie will get a check over today ready for Mod class. Looking forward to watching some of xtreme guys too.

Re: disco ute build

Adam What a great looking ute - and I know what you mean re the effort for specialised panels etc - and I have only had to repair our Rangie Ute ones. Looks like you have made sure to protect the non standard panels well with your bar work - it is a pain to have to repair them. Door and gaurds etc ...

Thanks Tough Nut - figured as much
The truck sits outside so might make up a cover at least for the brake so not get wet and will make sure it gets a run on each trip

Stop warn Hi Mount Brake Rust/seize

Anyone got any ideas on how to stop a warn hi mount brake from rusting and seizing when not in use?

Is there some treatment or way of assembling that stops this or is it a matter of putting a cover over it.

All help and suggestions welcome.

Ok thanks
I jacked the rear up and have determined I have limited slip nice and tight in the rear
Will do the rotation test tonight to figure out ratios - ie mark and count the turns accurately - less time and mess than removing

Thanks (EST)MahviaDeTyrk

Can anyone point me to information about what
H233B front (31 spline)
H233B rear (33 spline)
means? Assume I know nothing!
What are the likely ratios?
Are these limited slip (rear)?
Thanks

Not surprised given rainfall all over SEQ. Been working to get O'Rangie truck ready plus a new one ready.
The new one might now make the first round in version one format.
By the way 24/25 is ANZAC long weekend so likely to be busy at the park but at least have 3 days off!
