Re: Protrack Locker for ROCKY+FEROZA (Greece)

Update: I have installed a front air-locker in my feroza six months ago. Excellent as a product, I still haven't broken anything (yes I tried) runs perfectly and makes a great difference to the vehicles off road abilities! here is the video of the first test http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q ...

Re: Kaiser-Locker-Feroza

One thing that made me a big surprise, is that when you turn the steering wheel and aim a target then accelerate it turns instantly without any problem. Although turning itself can be a big problem on steady surfaces, causing a constant fight between the driver and the steering wheel. Works ...

Re: Squeaky clutch, annoying problem!

As far as I can remember, at the top of the cluch pedal, there is a spring (little over or above the spot where the cable ties to the peddal) that brings back the peddal to its original possition.
Put some amount of grase to that.
I think that will solve your problem.

Hilux vs 4runner

Hello everybody, I have been posting in the Daihatsu section for some months, now I am thinking about buying a Toyota! I have found two cars, and I need your opinion about which one is better. The first is a 1993 4door Toyota Hilux with the 2L engine code, the other is a 1989 Toyota 4-runner with ...

Re: Amp Meter

To check that your voltmeter isn't faulty, test your voltages with a multimeter (even a cheapy $10 Dick Smith one is adequate). At 18volts, you will probably find you're popping globes everywhere in the vehicle and other things such as number 3 fan setting, possibly your stereo, etc. When I had ...

I don't know how it is called in English.... it is the alternator voltage regulator.
Replace it, it may cause problems.

Drop shackles have a tendency to unload themselves on side slopes etc and can make the vehicle unstable and sometimes dangerous, they should never be driven on the road in an unpinned state. Finally it is done. The setup is: Front -> Tough Dog absorbers, and top ball joint spacers +cranced torsion bars Rear -> Leafs raised and inforced, OME shock absorbers, teraflex revolver shackles. This all gave a totall of +10cm in the front and +13cm in the rear. 5cm wheel spacers on each wheel ...

Thanks guys, I suppose I'll remove the dizzy cap and see if i can see it or whatever... I don't think you will need to. If I am not mistaking you can barely see it in the second picture. It should be pluged to where the red arrow is. http://i427.photobucket.com/albums/pp357/MitsosVR6/th_dd47b615 ...

Ok, I have found a loose wire hanging, which looks like it should plug in somewhere behind / under the dizzy, but for the life of me, I can't find where it plugs into. Any ideas?? It plugs under and a bit to your passenger's side under the dizzy. If you dive under the car from your passengers side ...

Both my ferozas had a bearing in that place.
As far as I know Daihatsu has two different codes for that bearing.
I found a different bearing in each car.

Re: What are these ?

For the wheel alignment yes you need to adjust these.... If the ball joint is not bad they can be adjusted, so you don't need to change them. But if the car is "all over the place" and the steering is bad it is probably caused by other thing than these..... Sorry I don't know how they are called in ...

Now the challenge of putting the new motor in... was thinking I could move the transmission back, putting the motor in and then moving the gearbox forward. I've done the job three times so far..... The total time should be about 3-4 hours if you are alone.... Hardest part is when you remove the gearbox from the engine..... The easiest way is to take the whole engine out as one piece and then use the parts you need in the new engine. You have a lot of ...

I'll say the conclusion in my way witch is:
You don't put a snorkel to increase horsepower, and if that is what you want try a different way to do it.
But if you want to install a snorkel for crossing water be sure that the engine will be running better with it.

The actual horsepower you get (or loose in many cases) is an addition of many factors. - Air intake temperature - Air flow - Air supply And many more.... these are the ones changed with a snorkel. In this case all of them seem to be improved or many stayed the same at least so you can see the ...
