My Gu does have air bag on driver side. But i am willing to piss it off and put a aftermarket wheel on.
So if it has air bag like you said will it not fit because the spline is differant, or because it's dangerous to remove the air bag wheel.

How does a ringed cv fit in the housing? Wouldn't it be like trying to fit a GU cv into a GQ? The way I see it, wouldn't the ring be either thin and pointless, or too big to fit the housing. i mean when the back wheels are spinning with no traction. its the back tail shaft. i no you can notch the front and thats fine. its the back where my problem is

Well got a Gq ute 6" coils and all the rest. Now the space between the rear tait shaft and the cross member on the chassis it bout 5mm.There is marks on both where they have been rubbing when back wheels are spinning faster than the front wheels i'm getting a huge banging sound "sorta like axel ...

I'm thinking of putting a GU steering box in it if it fit's i heard they were stronger. So sounds like there may be a few people out there that have had a similar problem, is it gonna still be safe to drive as a dailky driver?

MATE I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN. IT DID HIT CROSS MEMBER ON CHASSI SO PULL TAIL SHAFT OUT AND FLIP IT ROUND. PROBLEM SOLVED

So I'm up for tyres, i'll get something grippy, chunky. i've had BFG & WRANGLERS. so i got at the most 30,000 kms at most out of both brands. I'm after more kilometres as its a daily driver. what would you recomend what have you run thats got a decent road life.

Yea after putting a head unit in my gq, now i have. No dash lights or tail lights. I only used a spare plug thing that was doing nothing hanging in behind factory radio. it had 3 wires power, earth, power for memory. has this happen to any one else and why?
