Outer Limits 4x4 Board

The old 60 has developed problem with the brake lights and headlights. :bad-words: :bad-words:

The headlights wont switch off high beam (Could be the combonation switch on steerign column?) and the tail lights dont work but have power at the switch. Fuses and bulbs are good.

Any ideas would be ...

Example.
A friend last year with a 6 inch lifted 80 went screaming over a sand june,
as he went over it the arse of the car flung up so hard and quick and to the extent of the shock the shock was not strong enough to stop this and the rod pulled out of the top.
Strap would prevent this ...

What about a lockrite on a 4 pinion (lsd) carrier.

did you machine the manifold? blowing that many gaskets sounds like it's warped

My wreakage

Around body mount under the accelarator pedel. And check the front X member infront of the radiator.

Three batteries, three sets of jumper leads and 2.5mm arc rods.
Nothing beats DC welding

I can't see any reason not too

I used Izusu Bighorn (lotus model) rear control arms and rear coils with a custom A frame.
Cheap and works a treat.

i was worried the diesel engine would b to heavy we will see how yours goes nice work and good luck keep the posts up

We thought about the Diesel being heavy too be as we are using the rear spring out of a Hilux on the front of the Zuk it should be alright.

Bit more progess.
Got the motor mounted, working on the gearbox etc.

Discovered the the Zuk body is going to have to undergo a major chop in the floor to accomodate the new drive train.

We couldn't even drive it. No transfere, no dizzy or carb on the Toyota 4k ...

Okay the chassis is stripped and the motor is sitting place.
We now know that the body is going to have the drive tunnel cut out and replaced with a nice square sided sheet metal one.

Will post pics soon.

Depends on service history. I got 230 000 before I biffed it. But it was a jappa and I suspect that the k's were wound

i wouldnt hav thought it wasnt much to do with tamin axle wrap, more to take the pressure off the drag link, which runs in line with the chassis and, wen brakin it puts a ...

Is the diff locator rod? (top of diff head goes forward to the chassis by the steering box)
If so then be careful when braking. This rod stop a really nasty pull sideways when you use the brakes hard.
If you have cross over steering then you don't need it at all.

Also have the diffs out of a 84 Surf. This thing is starting to come together nicley

Got given a motor
A whole 2.2ltrs of pure diesel power
Will do the job well and it was free. The guy who gave it to us is even going to come and pick up the body once we are finished with it.

inlet on the box will be the smaller of the two holes

also pipes from pump to box should be crimped high pressuer pipe aswell

I've got a 2ltr Celica/Supra motor. 1g-geu
Nothing flash on the road ( read..... SLOW ) Totally different story in low range with the 5.29 diffs.
Goes hard and just keeps going. Been drowned several time now and it still won't die.

Don't bag me.... I know that the pressure hose is attached to the wrong pipe on the steering box.
I'm having trouble believing its being such a bastard of a thing Nothing like a good challange!!!!

Well, 7hrs all up to mount and make work power steering. And it still doesn't work. Starting to think that there may be a problem with the steering box.

Oh well, I'll get it sorted eventually
