i had the same problem with this, the previous owner swears he replaced all the seals and it was good, but was still leaking, so i took it all apart to find he put swivel hub seal in backwards

I voted no for two reasons.... 1) Doing a body lift is only compensating for a persons lack of fundage to invest in a correct suspension setup, thus getting extra lift for very little outlay. 2) I see so many dodgy bodylift jobs its not funny. Why dont you just go and drive the car before spending a cent on it? find out what you think is lacking, what your willing to accept, and put off? No point buying 33's then being pist cause your suspension is totally ., or something else is rooted, and then spend the next 5 yrs broke fixing shit ...

whats the best way to get the large bearing race out? i don't have a bearing puller but am thinking of investing in a kit of sorts. what do i need? got her all sorted today, all degreased and clean, looks good!
at first, before I started, I was thinkin great...I've prob bent the axle maybe thats why its leaking....turns out whoever had the vehicle before me replaced the axle seal but put it in backwards!
whoops!

yeah I did hear somewhere that if you are going to do it you might as well do both sides and repack the wheel bearings, etc.

I plan to do it at the end of next week, it wont be dangerous if I leave it that long or anything will it???

hey guys, just noticed the front drivers side swivel housing on my GQ is leaking oil, so it will prob need to have the seal and ball felts replaced.

Anyone know first hand of how much they think i'd be up for to get them replaced?
Or has anyone replaced them thereselves....hard or easy job at all?

faaaark calm down.. im mealing suggesting if ya havent bought it yet. why not save ya money, wait and get an efi... my carbies sweet as mate runs like dream... but it takes a bit to keep it that way and its only a year old! perhaps its the duel fuel... to tune ya gas and petrol is impossible ...
