Re: REAR DIFFS ON 2008 3L LEAF SPRUNG AND 2000 COIL SAME DIF

I actually dont even need it to be the same diff, just the same friction plates and pads. Which I assume is the case because they sell the same LSD kit for all GQ and GU patrols, no matter the suspension?

REAR DIFFS ON 2008 3L LEAF SPRUNG AND 2000 COIL SAME DIFF?

Hi guys,

Could anyone tell me if the rear diff centers on a 3L 2008 leaf ute are the same as the 2000 4.2TD coil sprung ute?

Ive shattered some of my friction plates on my 4.2L patrol and found a diff center for cheap off a 3L 08 Patrol.

Cheers,
Matthew

Re: 1992 landcruiser manual gear box exploded view

This is for the missus old man, so im not 100% sure on the details. I dont know much about the model numbers on landcruisers. What i do know is it is a 1992 landcruiser ute. The engine is a 1HZ 4.2L diesel. Is there somewhere where the model number for the transmission is written? Or could anyone ...

Hi,

Does anyone happen to have an exploded view of the gear box and transfer case of a 1992 landcruiser?

HELP!! TD42 loss of power above 2k revs

Hi all. I’ve recently lost a lot of power in my 2000 GU patrol. I was driving along the highway at about 110kmh when I realised that’s as fast as it would go. Slowly the more I drove the slower it got, maxing out at about 95kmh after about 50km of driving. I pulled up and changed the fuel filter thi ...

Re: Is 170+Kw for a TD42 possible with standard turbo and IP

Hi northside, At the moment have a 3inch straight through and dump pipe. no intercooler as yet. 160rwkw would be a dream, would having the TD42 tuned that high be safe enough for a daily driver? Was looking at FMIC but it seems for a similar price I can get an 'ebay' liquid intercooler. Has anyone ...

Re: Is 170+Kw for a TD42 possible with standard turbo and IP

So if i max out the injector pump while keeping EGTs under control (with intake mods, intercooler, w/m injection, boost) I could hope for up near 130kW? My pyro sensor is post turbo in the dump pipe, is the 550deg figure still relevant for there? I’m a bit of a newbie when it comes to engines but I’v ...

Is 170+Kw for a TD42 possible with standard turbo and IP

Hi all, Im looking for a bit more power out of my TD42 and Id like to know whats possible with a standard turbo and fuel pump. Ive increased the fuel and boost (18 PSI). And have plans for a liquid intercooler and water/meth injection. Right now EGTs reach around 530 at 140km/h on flat ground with ...

Re: Airlock every morning - 4.2 TD PATROL

Hey guys thanks for all your replies!! Was searching for a cracked injector line from what mcneil said, degreased the whole engine and took it for a spin. Found a microscopic fuel leak coming from one of the injectors. I’m not too sure on all the correct terminology for all the different parts so I’m ...
