Re: WARNING: TOUGH DOG RTC not so tough, design floor check
Well further info, took the ute in for the wheel alignment yesterday, after fitting a replacement damper, normal foam cell big bore unit, only to find that they could no longer achieve anything, the extra strain from the rtc, has actually prematurely flogged out my whole front end basically ...

Re: WARNING: TOUGH DOG RTC not so tough, design floor check
any RTC damper is a bodge up. Fix your steering geometry properly. They should be illegal. Who said there was anything wrong with the steering geometry, I had no prior experience with steering dampers to now to be perfectly honest, as the triton didn't have one, and to be perfectly honest, despite ...

Re: WARNING: TOUGH DOG RTC not so tough, design floor check
bush was lipped on both sides and centered(fitted) in packet, I suspect it moved up as the bolt was pulled inwards. As mentioned I questioned a few things, and was told it was right. They use a larger width eye, and that's how they intend it to be mounted, underneath with a side load on a bolt. in ...

Re: WARNING: TOUGH DOG RTC not so tough, design floor check
Well finally contacted tough dogg directly due to onlineautoparts.com.au not responding to my inquiry, bloke I talked to claimed he designed it and has never had a bolt break, did not seem very helpful, would not recommend it more so. See whether I get a response. Claims if something had broken he'd ...

Re: 100 series wheel stud pattern, what else fits?
Might be a bit late, but believe you'll find F100's share stud pattern, however you could guess on the offset side of things, even land cruiser and patrol 6 stud are different offset and ifs or solid when 5 100 series 5 stud. also due to brakes, I doubt you'll be able to go 15's just find some body ...

Re: 4wd not engaging
I'm assuming you are turning the hubs to lock?
Super select is for auto hubs for on the fly shift into 4wd I gather you don't have it if you have manual hubs.

V6 Triton auto - manual conversion possibly diesel
G'day guys I have a v6 triton with 440 k's the motor still plods along but probably a bit tired and more importantly seems to have quite a substantial leaking issue, but more importantly the automatic has a problem with the pump, so some days plays up, sometimes runs alright, it may be repairable ...

Re: Auto or Manual?
I've had auto converted my falcon to manual now I have an auto triton personally going back to auto doesn't feel right, I love the manual falcon but there's definitely advantages to each, no hassles with clutch changes and river crossing gearshift issues, but also don't have to worry about the auto ...

Re: Powdercoat vs 2Pack
Powdercoat should not flake of if this is the case then something is wrong with the adhesion to the base metal. This can commonly occur if the powdercoat is under cured. Usually this should not occur in the case of powdercoat it should be more durable over 2 pack. The advantage of 2 pack is that if ...

Re: Gearbox Question?
G'day not 100% sure if there the same box, but the later mj's had hydraulic clutch, so maybe just because it's slightly oldr etc. or it could just be a wrong gearing going from a bigger rig. Have you got both boxes out? measured input shafts etc.? to be honest being manual it may be worth jut ...

This isn't what I wanted to hear, a mate at work said try not to pay anymore than 150 second hand, which is pretty average for newish model radiators, but I guess I could be in for trouble, eek. P.s. xagtho, if you have a couple to sell I may be interested in one, mines auto, but not fussed, as I'll ...

much appreciate that, yeah, It's definately not something you want to pull apart blindly. I had a look at the plate on the pajero today at work and took a photo of the plate on the bonnet, and it's 5285 so 5.29 I guess. and yeah 4.875 on the triton It's funny neither have the stickers as that what I ...

G'day cheers for that, I had a look at the arb site, and it's throwing an odball at me. link it has the same part number for that age, but it says, it wont fit intercooled turbo diesls or 3.5L V6's and yes it's a turbo diesel but it doesn't offer a substitute, on what it does use. Has the comment ...

diff lock compatability
G'day I'm a newbie here and to 4wding, anyway, longstory short, I've recently bought a repairable writeoff MK triton auto v6 that I'm fixing up. Anyway at work we just got a 91 pajero turbo diesel manual with factory diff lock, so first off I know coils vs leafs, but I guess it'd be possible to ...
