HELP!! Hilux LN65 Front Springs
Just changed the front springs on the young blokes Hilux.
The problem is the new springs are 6 leaf vs. original 5 leaf. The height of the spring packs at the centre bolt is 45mm vs 34mm of the old ones.
The problem is that now the drag link fouls the rear U bolt when you turn the wheels to the ...

While trying to get those bloody shackle pins out, we popped the front slip joint.
If anyone could have a look at theirs (LN65) and advise on the alignment of the unis- ie the diff end and the cardon joint end- are the yokes in line or at 90deg to each other?
There was a vibration in the front ...

Hilux seized shackle pin
In the process of changing front leaf springs on my sons LN65.
Struck a problem- the rear shackle pins are seized in the mounts where they go thru the chassis rails- bugger!
The front ones were very hard to get out due to rust on the pins so I suspect the rears are stuck for the same reason. It ...

Has anyone fitted one of these? I have seen some various fit-ups but not much detail.
I know Bullet and CAPA do them but sooo expensive ($7-$8k) specially when you can get one from the US for USD$2590 so about $3k landed.
Has anyone got a good price locally or bought one from the US?

'85 Hilux 2L-some questions from a newbie
Hi All,
My young bloke just got a Hilux. We are in the process of checking it over and fixing a few things as we go.
Just a couple of questions:
1. Is there a thermostat that opens earlier than the standard one which starts opening at 88-90 deg?
2. What basic improvements will get a little more ...
