cant speak for Rancho shocks specifically, but for some oil damped shocks, if you let all the oil sit at the top (ie the bottom if you're mounted upside down) then your compression and rebound damping wont work the same cause they dont have as much/any oil to push through the valves. OR the ...

central locking on tool boxes

i want to connect up my central lockin to my toolboxs in the tray of my ute (im sick of having two extra keys on my keyring for opening hte dam things up, plus the original locks are easy to break off)

i think this shoucl be possible if i find the right locking mechanism to connect the solenoid ...

i think for what i want at this stage, the IFS lux will do me well.. like i say only moderate 4wd'ing and it will be mainly for a work truck. when i want to start rock crawling, ill go and buy a TJ jeep 8)

thats a good point - ill be doing a bit of 4x4, however also quite a lot on dirt roads/forrestry and some beach work so the IFS is attractive from that perspective.

how will the IFS go on the beach?

im not going to be doing any rock climbing or anything like that though ill keep diff lockers ...

im looking at buying a late model hilux and am after some advice on how much i should be paying.

all 3 of these that im looking at are 3L diesels, 4wd single cab, on road prices

4/00 47,000kms for $27,500 - alloy tray
1/00 82,000kms for $26,500 - alloy tray
