Re: Brake issues.

I'd have a close look at your front wheel bearing adjustment, and your rear brake adjustment.
If ether of these are out it will produce similar faults to what your describing.

Discs on a h260 diff

Has anyone converted a h260 rear diff out of a GU leafy to disc brake rear?

Is there brackets available to mount the calipers

Photos or links appreciated.

Re: Rear diff ratio's

Patrols have a 3.5 gear ratio. they where used on 4.8 patrol auto GU's.
I ran a set of these for a while, geared the 6.5 turbo nicely.
these gears are huge and would stand up well. they fit the H233b rear diff.

Re: Electrical 4,2 diesel to 3ltr Harnes difference

I ran some new wires in from the pickup and simply tapped into the correct pins in the dash plug. I had to fit a missing pin to one of them as it wasn't used on the 2.8. I found a free pin from a sway bar disconnect light or something that wasn't been used and refitted that to the correct spot ...

Re: Another 9.5XP vs M8274

Hey mate with the clutch release level popping out, its pretty common to see them drilled and a pin fitted to stop this happening. I would imagine it would be caused by a misalignment with the gears, possibly a worn motor drive gear but more likely to be the next gear along (idler bearing). I ...

Re: LSD or factory locker front?

This would have to be the most asked question ever. :finger: Simple answer, NO wont fit, and cant easily make them fit. If you want LSD in the front look for a 31 spline diff from a mid 90's pathfinder. But LSD in the front is shit and no way worth the effort. If your tight, buy a lock right. But ...

About $800 is a fair price for a used high mount. cores suit reco up to $600. I rewired mine, 2.8 to 4.2, 3.0 will be the same . It wasn't that hard when I studied the wiring diagram. you will need to find the two pins in the back of the dash and wire in the wires from the 4.2 taco sensor. I removed my ecu and most of the engine loom, then made my own to suit. trouble you ...

Same gearbox entirely? only the gear shifter is in a different spot......? Can you simply change over the top selector cover and be done with it? screwy Good luck swapping that top selector cover over, as the bolt pattern isn't the same. Re: engine & gearbox question

The main thing is to get the clutch disc as centered as possible, slight misalignment in this area causes massive headaches when the motor just wont mate up to the box. I use a couple of screw drivers in the bolt holes to align it as best as possible, and the other think to do is use a couple of ...

Re: GQ petrol gearbox into GU diesel

Yer so the gear boxes wont fit. Gu has a different top plate bolt pattern, swaping over slector plates wont work. you can use the GQ main shaft and some of the gears to fit up to your GU box. effectively building a GU box from GQ guts. other than than rebuild yours, revised GU main shafts and fifth ...

Re: Air locker assembly

Don't take the pinions out. Just swap the locker over.
Fit a plug back in the hole from the removed air fitting, and drill and tap the second housing to take the air fitting for the new locker housing, much easier than trying to remove and set back up pinions.

Re: MQ (R) ARB in GQ Hi-Pinion in GQ Leaf housing (F)?

You can redrill your MQ ARB locker to suit the GQ diff gears the difference is the MQ using 10mm bolts on a 180mm diameter, where as the GQ use a 12mm bolt on a 176mm diameter crown wheel. If you buy a new top hat for a GQ, ( cover plate) and use this as a guild to redrill the old center, position ...

What are you going to do about the rear squat? If you move the control arms up above the center line of the axle, you will change the way the drive twists the diff under load and braking.
why not fit a long arm kit ?
