If you look again there's dust on the back tyres. Given the stock 4.2 P has so much grunt, it did a wheel stand to get to that spot. Then given the fuel consumption it run out petrol about then too.

Piss off that family man lift, go for a 100mm or better still go for a 5" lift like mine.

Try getting your tailshafts balanced (on the car). Cost is about $100 each.

My SWB has 5" Lift running 36 'pedes and 3 degrees offset caster bushes, no vibrations at all standard control arms rear and standard panhards, (still waiting for the adjustables to arrive).

Body lift in the auto is no hassle as it's an electronic selector. worst case you might have to lengthen the wires, I doubt it though for a 50mm body lift.

yep sorry my mistake one too many ales will do that to me.

you can buy the Nissan coil spacers for the rear in 15mm and 30mm sizes only. very easy to fit about a 20 min job. All you need is a jack, and 12mm, or 14mm spanner and 17mm or 19mm spanner depending on which model Nissan you have.

GU 2.8 in theory was good, in reallity that's another story 300kg heavier than the GQ I must admit I have never driven a GU 2.8 but I reckon it'd be on par with a GU 4.2 D. :P

Mild steel extractors will set you back around $435-490 mark, pipe size either 2 1/4 or 2 1/2. Personally I'd go the 2 1/2 pipe with a matched muffler. Sports mufflers come in many sizes most common is 2-3 inch. Prices will vary from dealer to dealer whole lot should be around $6-700 for a 2 1/2 ...

Roly well done now that's more like it.

Are you keeping the standard rims? Why not go for 315/75/16's in MTR's.

Asking the experts about a CJ7 Renegade

Hi All, I'm interested in a jeep CJ7 1979 model I have seen, it's fitted with a Ford 351 and auto running straight gas.

What should I be looking for in the way of problems with driveline, body, rust, anything else. I have never owned a Jeep before.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys that's a good start I have re-measured the door opening and I've got 2070mm to play with.

I hope to buy a 40 with a V8 already fitted are there any major pitfalls to be aware of?

Cheers,

Andrew

40, 42, 45 and 47 Series Cruiser questions.

Hi All, I'm after some info regarding 40 series Cruisers. I want to start a project on a 40 series preferably a 45 or 47 tray or a SWB 40 or 42 with a V8 fitted. Information I’m after is what to look out for when buying besides rust. Also I’m keen to know what the overall height of the truck is once ...
