Go here for instructions. (below - see link)

But I dont have any adapters. Have sold out.
Grab a 120 watt H3 HID kit. Drill out the adapters with a 19mm drill bit and silicon the bulbs in. Job done.

What do Maxi-drive axles and early Subaru's have in common?

Useless info:

The early version of the Maxi-drive uses a 28 spline axle. Early Sube's (second generation with the EA81 engine, such as wagons and all Brumby's) CV's and axles also run the exact same diameter axle with a 28 spline count. They fit into each other. Bizarre...

Thanks for the offer; but keep it. No doubt you'll find someone else, or even yourself, wanting one sometime down the track. The split poly's were for a pre-85, and, guess what. They were for a 14mm bolt! Another wasted $40. Finally got on to http://www.landrovers.com.au" onclick="window.open(this ...

Re: 24V Winch Wiring with 3 Batteries

Why not do something different, put all three batteries in series to get 36 volts. Then grab a 24 volt winch motor, and run 36 volts through it? Be similiar to putting 24 volts through a 12 volt motor. The only drama then is to get a 24 or a 48 volt alternator re-wired for 36 volts to charge your ...

Do your own research on efficiencies, but I didn't post 30% loss - it was 30% efficiency, or 70% loss.

Didn't think of the worm drive, I think they are brass? Probably wouldn't handle the speed of the motors at 24v. The worm drive also acts as the brake, so there must be a way to disconnect the drum Thanks for all of the comments so far. Had no idea at what ratios peeps were running. Bit of a ...

Modifying an old Thomas winch into a comp winch...

Was given an old 8000 pound Thomas winch few years back. These were the Aussie made equivalent to the Warn High mount back in the hey-day. Early 1980's era if I am correct. Well and truly before the now common low mount winch with their planetary gears. Made in Brisbane, they were big, heavy, slow ...

They should. If they were 170's I'd be able to say a definate yes. There is of course a smaller amount of reflector with the 140's, so maybe the amount of light penetrating outwards will indeed be less, but they should still give out an incredible amount of light in a spot. If you are after a H3 ...

Dunno off the top of my head why it is doing it, but you can buy replacement LED indicator relays from China for about $1.99 delivered on ebay, which will put the flash rate back to the normal factory flash rate. Did you know that there is even an Australian Design Rule regarding the flash rate...?

Run the air inlet of the compressor into the top oil vent in the engine tappet cover.
Oil mist going into the compressor keeps everything happy. Job done, never worry about it again.

Other than drips of oil in ya tyres...

...which then also keeps rust at bay.
