thanks for all your help guys. i dont think its the throw bearing as the sound is distinctly coming from the rear of the car and its quiet clearly heard as if it was on the outside of the vehicle not muffled by any housings etc.. so the plan is to have a look at the uni's in the tailshaft first and ...

97 Ln106 tailshaft grease

I think my tailshaft needs greasing because i can hear a rotating squeak whilst driving and if i put in the clutch it stops. Its coming from the rear of the vehicle and sounds too loud to be coming from the diff.. just wondering if anyone had any ideas? and also what grease i should use? thanks in ...

Yeah unfortunately im not lucky enough to have lockers (yet)

thanks for all your help guys ended up using NULON 80w-90 and a
little 500ml oil can took a little while but got the job done..

am going to drop diff oils in my feb/97 ln106r not sure what oil to use? Im not sure if the rear is lsd as there is no stamp or sticker on the diff housing. is there another way of finding this out? Also my front hub seals are leaking, wondering if i keep front diff oil filled can i still go ...
