Re: full bolt on tb54 GU turbo kit!!!!

Sounds like a nice ride tb45turbo. What exhaust manifolds are you guys using? I was told the same high mount manifold for the TD42 diesel would work?? hey mate, i have a custom tuned length steam-pipe manifold on now. On my previous setup i was using an aftermarket td42 high mount manifold, which ...

Re: full bolt on tb54 GU turbo kit!!!!

That sounds like the go. Those manifolds and to3 turbos are fairly cheap these days. I would love to set mine up and only run 6 or 8 psi just for a bit more go. I have to get the wife another daily driver before I get the chance. Can you still run duel fuel (Gas, Unleaded)?? Would a turbo set up ...

Got revised intake and exhaust manifolds, another turbocharger, water/meth injection, more boost ,sucrogen fuel and a custom triple plate clutch (the other custom single plate i had gave way). Re: td42 gu engine mounts

They are completely different mounts in a different location to the petrols and 4.2 diesels. As the mounts are welded to the chassis they are in fact different.

Re: td42 gu engine mounts

your best bet would be to cut them off a wrecked td42 or petrol chassis. 3lt chassis is different whereas the 4.2 and petrol chassis' are the same.

Re: real world results of superior arms

I ran the 7" superflex drop arms in my gu and had only very slight flex over the snake racing arms and poor handling. Just my experience. The poor handling might have had more to do with the 7 inch lift  my statement was is my own comparison between two sets of drop arms at a given lift ...

Fuel wise I was getting, about 18lt/100km and turboed about15-16lt/100km. Reliability wise I got 300000km out of my stocko and when stripped down, it had next to no wear, and absolutely no dramas since new.

wilsy, my wagon was tuned by monster performance in mackay. If you are interested in doing something similar mick at monster is a top bloke, and has helped me out massively. as for the ecu i am running a microtech, but would not recommend it. ViPec seems to be the go as far as ecu's go.
