When i rebuit my 4.2 i got the engineers to fit the cam bearing when they machined the block,i didn't have the tools to do the bearings so it was much easier to have them do it... Putting in new bearings you will have to check for gaps,thickness,play and all those pain in the but things...i dont no ...

If its near the steering box it is a comin thing on Patrols.i no of about 5 to 6 patrols that have cracked behind the steering box were the panard rod mount is....it will get real bad vidration when driving.most of the time you would hardly even notice it is even cracked....that one shore stands out ...

I did the same thing,thought the water pump shit its self.Got a new one and jamed it in...End up being a pin hole in the bottom of the out let housing to the radiator......They happen a bit apparently

Blow off valve

Putting a blow off valve on diesel is a lot of stuffing around...BOV's need vacume to opperate and a diesel dosent have enough vacume to opperate one...I have seen one set up electricly to opperate of the vacume of the alternater with set stage switchs on the clutch..it worked well released presure ...

B.D.R i run a Wizard 5 link in my GQ with a 7" lift and A arm rear end, swaybar disconnects front and back..Have done for a couple of years now done trip to cape york and couple shooting trips out west it is driven every day for work and have had no problems at all

If you are going the 6" spring and want alot of flex i would recommend you go the ajustable control arms on the back...if you dont you will eat bushers every couple of month..I had that problem with mine,you gain about 1-2" extra travel aswell

You souldnt have any trouble with that,just keep an eye on all of your lines around your motor that they are not damaged and your steering arm might need to slip a bit on the pivot joint.and make shore that your fan has clerance from the bottom of your radiator shroud if it ...

And another thing,, most engineers will not touch components like that..we tried to get some arms cut out of bizliod plate and they refused to for insurance perposes

Shane,you would be talking about mine and Yans front arms,,,, they were made of 40mm moly all tig welded johnnie joints in all pivot points.Had A go at making 2 different sets with different dissigns.It couldent handle the extra flex.the bush on the chassis was change from a pin bush to a 80 seri ...

To easy, I have done mine out with a standard patrol a.c pump,got a uper cylinder lube kit fitted it up with high pres hoses and got an air tank off a mitsi truck with twin drain taps.i put a non return valve in the line and a releif valve on the tank set at 160 psi.i am going to put a air regulator ...

a bloke i no had a patrol wagon with 400-450Ks ,he turboed it and was running 18 pound boost,he won most of the mud drags at emu creek,he has sold it now,but it is still running like a charm

air lockers

put the locker in the front and get the limo tightend up about 20 thou,works as good as a locker,i done mine and i love it,havent worried about the back......try it is easy to do
