Will a 40 series body bolt to a 45 chassis? My manual doesnt show measurements.

ARB are the best, but Jeez they're expensive.Plus I think you have to be over 55 or retired to be eligible to purchase them.

I got Terrain Tamer suspension last time *(40 Ser.) 3000ks and sagging on one side ..But Jeez they were cheap!!!!!

My last 1hz had 320k on it. It needed a tune and had a couple of minor oil leaks. But I wouldnt have swapped it for someone elses low K motor.If its only got those Ks on it ,keep it!!

AHH. the ol' pure white 40 in a severe snowstorm.

Mines in a good state of tune,extractors snork,etc, but still gets about 18-20 l/100k. Its the price you pay for a cool car!!

I have tried that ,but it didnt seem to do anything.*( I use it every day to walk my dogs) I'll try it again though.Maybe I wasnt carefull enough.But the Hilux 's could be used as a cruise control. *(Yeah --I know...But Darwin to Adelaide In a 2.2 diesel. ....MAAATE!! *(3 times) AYE Carumba!!

You can get an electronic*(digital) Tacho. from Flex drive Agencies for around $250 from memory. But ,Yeah, it's limited.

Ellorys for an Average one .Gregorys for an easy one.Neither for a good one.

The Hilux had a good H/T .The 40 has a crap one.It goes from 650rpm to 1500 rpm. Nothing between. You cant set it for EASY .Just go or whoa!
I dont Know if a Hilux one would fit *( a future project) but I would suggest the use of one.

Mine wouldnt go into 2nd from 3rd.Used to go round corners in 3rd most of the time.Thought it was syncro. related or something worse.
Lifted floor, put oil into box from gear selector hole *(didnt remove selector, just dust cover) now it goes into all gears better. I guess the selector rails were ...

Yeah, I had to lift the floor *(I took the mat out a long time ago) It has a rubber boot over the shifter hole,but I reckon If you removed the filler plug and topped up the g/box through the top,It would be easier than from underneath with a bastard hand pump.

Anyone tell me if the top of the 5 speed box,where the selector rails are, is open to the rest of the box?
Mine wouldnt shift into 2nd from 3rd,I pulled the floor out,and tipped some oil into the hole where the shifter goes.It fixed the problem*(mostly).
My question is -if you can tip oil ...

I think I may have got a bit excited by the prospect of a p/st. conversion.I dont have easy access to wreckers *(250 k away).I dont have the spare time to do it.As far as i can tell , theirs no-one in SA able to do it for me.*( I spoke to one P/Steer expert in Adelaide, about using parts other than ...

Anyone got a suggestion as to who could do this conversion,in the Riverland area.Or Adelaide/Mildura. Maybe I'll check out this option.I dont get much spare time.

I'll have a look tomorrow.I dont want to move the shock tower,unless I have to.It sounds like an ugly move.But the Cressida box sounds good.At first glance.I'd like to do the conversion without moving too much stuff,if you know what I mean. I guess reinforcing the chassis is an obvious move,but as ...

I'm sure theres an easier way to do this without moving shock towers etc.
But I dont know what .
