Hey mate, You are right, there is a lot of bad talk about these shocks but thats because of poor fitments and wong size shockes being fitted with lift kits, causing then to smash the ends out of them. Set ya truck up right with propper bump stops and and the right length shock and you will be fine ...

Been able to lock the stall converter in first gear is not going to improve your performance, in fact you want the stall converter to be loose if you're looking to improve take off and powering up hills. I'd get the stall converter modified to take up around 1800rpm and a shift kit to sharpen up ...

i got a gq patrol with 4spd auto. well looked after gearbox no issues with it at all, but looking to improve it now that im running big tyres its alittle sluggish, looking to increase take off in it like when going up hills or just general driving before i just go spend money go turbo or v8 ...

got balanced perfect and all.
alittle better not much tho, been told just how creepys are they get better as they age lol.
i put my old tires on to check if was somethings else was fine without 37's on.

hey bud i just had same problem once i looked into it it seems to be my panhard rod bushes are shot again worth a look for your piece of mind This is a common cause on the trols. Bigger tyres exagerate most issues which were ok with smaller tyres. check for play in: King pin bearings - jack wheel ...

i fitted my 37inch creepys on to my gq patrol now i get a big shake through the steering wheel starting at about 60k's and up to around 80k's.
the tyres were balanced when i bought them the shop, they are brand new, i had sum 31 stockos that cruising around on never had any issues, whats the go??

the efi gq autos have a tranmission cooler built into the radiator. This makes the radiator much dearer to purchase..... If you have a look under neath you will see the lines coming from your auto to either end of your radiator. I have fitted a second pwr external cooler in series to the radiator ...

I don't know if they even have a standard one do they. My mates 4.2 diesel thought he had one but it was an engine oil cooler. Bit weird! i got a 4.2 efi petrol gq that is auto,
ive been running the standard i think transcooler, now ive upgrade to 4.6diff gears and 37inch tyres, should i get myself a larger transcooler for it or will that just be waste of money?
the gearbox is running strong no issues as yet..

Iv run Boggers in 38.5x12 and loved them but the best thing i did was get rid of them.... :lol: we have also ran both 37x12 and 37x14 creepys and the wider ones are much better but both are shit.... in my appoin anyway :finger: , if you want a good alround tyre for trails and mud go the 37 IROC ...

I think you mite have same problem as my friends d40, its a injector problem, might need a new injector rail for it. should come under warranty.
