The overall diameter sizes quoted on the website are just conversions from the sizes on the sidewall. The true sizes will be less.

My 37" bias claws measured under 36" when new

Need a bit more info Ron,

What do you want the vehicle for? What sort of driving do you want to do?
What vehicle characteristics are important to you?
Size, comfort, performance (on/off road), economy, safety, cost etc.

I've got a set, fine onroad, but do exactly as you describe when used offroad. I have quite a few tread blocks partially missing. They are a hard compound tyre and that is the price you pay for the k's you get out of them.

Here's a test you can do. Get your engine warm and run LPG into the intake of your idling diesel. Turn the key off and see if it keeps running. What is the idea behind this test? LPG wont self ignite in a diesel engine. I thought the idea was that the LPG promoted more even and complete combustion ...

Troopy gearbox

Hey guys, recently purchased a 2000 1HZ troopy and going through the previous owners receipts I found some work done on the gearbox;

Overhaul and Fit modifications (one piece shaft) $2750

I'm new to toyota stuff, anyone know what this would be or why it would be done?

The diesel you buy at any servo generally comes from the closest refinery. So if you buy fuel in Sydney it comes from either the Shell or Caltex, in Brisbane - Caltex or BP, in Melbourne - Shell or Mobil. So its all the same, the variation is not due to the brand its due to the refining process.

Sorry to say but this is the case.

PS you didnt factor in the energy lost in turning the larger, heavier tyres

OK, having decided on an Engel, the question is which one?

The 37L stainless steel one $1000

OR

The 40L anniversary one $1100

Is there any difference in performance?

I've driven with both MTR's and Claws on the sand. The MTR's were a bit more forgiving. With the claws, as soon as the wheels started spinning your were digging to China. The claws needed to be aired down more. I dont agree with those who say a non agressive or bald tyre is the best. The only time ...

The fuel pump sits in a well, or reservoir, inside the fuel tank. The well cannot run out of petrol since it is either lower than the fuel pickup tube or there is a check valve in the reservoir that prevents it from running dry. And, since the pump and motor are constantly covered in fuel, there is ...
