Had a look this arvo turns out my problem was the motor ,I have 2 80's at the moment so I pulled the switch from the other one to test.

Just gave the motor the "fix all" with a hammer and it's working at the moment .
Anyone know if the motors from door to door can be swapped?

80 series power window switch

I have a dodgy drivers side pwr window switch like a lot of people out there .
Are these reparable and is there any trick to removing them or do they just clip off.

If they cant be fixed where is the cheapest place to buy one?

thanks for any help

I should have worder it better - you can't import a vehicle from overseas if the model was available in Australia - unless it was built prior to 1989. This rule came in in 2005, so I'm not sure how an 80 series could be imported, thats why I asked.

I don't think the 15 year rule applies anymore ...

Nope, no luck.

The box was leaking on the way home, and I didnt notice for a while, could it have run the resevoir dry enough to make the pump shit itself? I wasnt making any noises before I changed the box over though.

Perhaps I just bled it incorrectly...

Try jacking the front wheels up ...
